I think that after ethereum overcame the psychological mark of $ 1000 he will start actively approaching bitcoin. At the moment, I do not see any chances for ethereum to overtake bitcoin, but it surely should get very close. 

Are you kidding me,no coin will try to over take the price of bitcoin,it is merely a dream,there was a time when i thought that the price of ethereum would surpass when it had a really big rally from below ten dollars to above hundred and bitcoin was not moving for a while,but after that bitcoin started its rally and it never turned back.

I think only ethereum can follow bitcoin value, and at this present ethereum rising so high in short time but i think it's running some slowly in near future. in the end of 2018 bitcoin can crossing 3000$ fiat value.

I dare say "Impossible!". Even though bitcoin prices are expensive and abandoned by many fans, bitcoin will still be the King in the ranks of cryptocurrency.

No, ethereum will not surpass bitcoins price this year or in the near future. Although it has been on a positive recovery. The Crypto market has been bearish since December 2017. And ethereum has been one of the best performers this year maintaining its assertive move in a bearish market. In the first two weeks of this year, it broke to a new all time high. Forecasters say that a long-term increase is expected. I am anxious about two things these forecasters had said. One, "the ethereum price can go up to 2219.610 USD this year". Two, "it will not crash". Very much interesting. I will certainly wait for this to happen.

In the mid 2018, eth will be 2000. In the end of 2018 eth will be 2500 - 3000. I hope the price will rise slowly. If there is no more government regulation Issues, cryptos will be the most hunted investment platform. WHen share holders trade cryptocurrencies they will spend their cash in trading cryptos. It means there is high demand.

all the issues about the two said coins must be resolve first before we can make good speculation,since both of them are going thru lots of un solved issues.i am a supporter of this great coins,as they are both first in my porfolio but i want to make a proper stand on my outviews.

My forecast for 2018 is more optimistic, I think about $ 3000 - $ 5000 for one coin ethereum. Now very good news about this coin has been announced.

In present market, Eth is one of the top most cryptocurrency in cryptomarket. Day by day its price is raising slowly. From me, in the mid of 2018 or the end of 2018 Eth will reach new value but how much value will be it can't determine for now.
