Based on the past recent months trend, I speculate that the price of ethereum will be around 2-3k USD
Ethereum is going to switch from Proof Of Work (POS) to Proof Of Stake (POS), this makes the miners to mine Ethereum Classic (ETC) or any other coin that can be mined from the GPUs especially from the RX 580 and with the increase of the epoch which is going to 4GB very soon I think that the GPUs with 4GB of RAM will switch to another coin. With the increase price of Ethereum the fees will also increase which will not be friendly for micro-transactions and I think that people will still look for another coin until they meet dogecoin which is very cheap very fast and probably one of first coins which was started as a joke but then became very popular.

I don't have these details, but when the time comes, ethereum will be much more valuable than this. Ethereum mining is very costly now and people are spending tons of money on it. This also creates the value for ETH.

It will go up in the next years, the question is the volatility in the long run. If you can just hold your coins than its good. If you try to win in the short run it is pure gambling...

Passing bitcoin's price is a taft job but ethereum can really do this in the future, within 2-3 years maybe. For the markey cap, I have no worries, it will manage to become the most valuable one in terms of capitalization next year.

The Ethereum price goes along in waves. At $863 USD it is under its long term trend line, and should be back at $1,200 by early to mid-March, after one more dip toward $850 along the way. It’s long term trend would have it at ~$1,575 by the end of June, and at ~ $3,250 by the end of the 2018 - with dips and overshoots along the way depending on BTC and market sentiment. The $3,250 price would give it a market cap at end 2018 of ~ $315 Billion (with say 97,500,000 coins), which is just over twice the current BTC market cap of $145 Billion. It is likely that the Ethereum market cap at end 2018 will still be under the BTC market cap, assuming a doubling of the BTC price by end 2018 from its current $8880 price to say ~$18,000 - but it probably won’t be far behind close on BTC’s heels. I believe on the ethereum, their team is really active and still continue to develop the ethereum. My prediction before 2018 will end is ethereum will reach $2.5k up to $3k . It is not possible because the demand of ethereum is still growing and makes more investor.

About ethereum my prediction is probably it will reach $5k to $6k at the end of 2018. Because we are seeing that eth is growing daily and it's future is superb i think. So my opinion is eth should reach $5k to $6k at the end of this year 2018
