Ethereum prediction in 2018

At the moment ethereum has passed the 1000$ limit. what will happen at the end of 2018. will it passed the Bit coin ?

It's possible to pass the time because it is still not yet bitcoin very far. for 2019 may be a new value will reach the ethereum parallel or approaching bitcoin. for now, it's probably only half of the bitcoin.

Ethereum will be able to pass Bitcoin's price only if Bitcoin developers fail to implement the Lightning Network. If they manage to do it correctly, ETH has no chance of catching up BTC, neither in this nor next year.

I always believe tha capability of ethereum. I can compare that among all other altcoins ethereum will always be on top and the best altcoins eversince. But i don't think that it can overtake bitcoins. Ofcourse bitcoins is the foundation of cryptocurrencies and we all know about it from the start that is why majority of the investors put bitcoins at the top of their list then second place will always be ethereum.

I will speculate that ethereum will increase it's price from $950 (today) to triple by the end of the year. But it's still far to catch the price of bitcoin. Maybe, if the developers of bitcoin will fail to improve their blockchain technology in terms of number of transactions per minute, fast confirmations and transaction fees which bitcoin users were always complaining on that issues. Let's wait for the implementation of lighting if this will improve the bitcoin transactions issues. But nothing more, bitcoin still has edge as compare to ether.

If we can leave that depression behind before it’s too late , we can expect ethereum to hit something between 3k - 5k . It has the potential and as we know there are some problems like slow transactions and high fees in the bitcoin network are forcing people to switch Ethereum instead. I also disagree with 18k... considering marketprice at the moment, ETH still undergoing rise and dip very fast. I thinki $3-5k it the number at the end of this year.., $5k is the best we can hope for 2018..

Actually I hope ethereum to star at about $1000 price, as I was using it as payment several times, don't want to have growth of commisions and  so on. That is my point of view, but I'm sure it won't be so

There are platforms for development new projects which provide more efficient service than Etherium. EOS for instance. Transactions are more faster and cheaper. So such substitutes can negatively affect the growth of ETH

Any soruce about this say? I've never seen something from Vitalik about ethereum pos transaction. I'm looking forward to see if this will really happen this year. Miners are wondering this very much.

No doubt Ethereum has more potential to development than Bitcoin and if the speed of network bandwidth will be increased, solved other problems, may be it even could replace Bitcoin in the future. Of course the price of ethereum is difficult to reach $18k in this year but it can reach $5k even $10k in this year. Although Ethereum which have many advantages about technology than Bitcoin, will soon replace bitcoin to become leader of cryptocurrencies market in the future but it need the time to do this, i think it's need at least 10 years to the price of Ethereum equal the price of bitcoin now.
