By the end of 2018, the cost of Ethereum will reach 500$, but it will not be possible to overtake Bitcoin, due to the huge difference in the cost of these crypto-currencies.

I am more pessimistic about it.
I think best case scenario: 300 USD.

It is still possible. Last year the market started to run in October and Bitcoin reached its new ATH in very short time, then altcoins followed it, but to be honest, I don't think the same will happen again, However, the bear market won't last forever and Ethereum will recover sooner or later.

Ethereum is in a deep fall down this year, this year its not really for ethereum for the value of it was cut down doubled by it will bounce back before the start of the next year, I will speculate that ethereum will end the year with a value of $600 and from there it will rise up in the first quarter of 2019 until the end of it.

My prediction is, The ETH will never reach 500$ in this year because I could not saw good support level or buyers. But I believe the ETH price growth rapidly in 2019. I heard many people are saying, 2019 year is very good for the crypto. I saw some crypto hunter's predictions. They say the Bitcoin will rising up 30000$ around 2019. Maybe it will happen in the future because we know BTC is a great currency. Finally, my crypto market prediction is 2018 year is a very bad year for the crypto.
