Ethereum will not ability to overrun bitcoin in near future. I think the demand for bicoin is still increasing. Lot of ICOs based on ETH and among those  ICOs , there was so many failed project and scam projects, Because of this reason i think Price of Ethereum is not stable. But i think Ethereum should have long way to go.

I think BTc has a better performance in the middle of this year, eth was only able to be temporary while the price experienced a significant decline
