In an encouraging series of events Goldman Sachs claims that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency has a viable future as a form of money, KFC Canada starts accepting Bitcoin for buckets of fried chicken, and the state of Arizona has proposed SB 1091 which will allow you to pay your taxes in Bitcoin.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I'll use bitcoin when they implement the lightning network, right now, it feels like a store of value to me.... i hate to pay that high transaction fee

As I have said, any news that will bring bitcoin back to its feet is encouraging to the ecosystem. I like the news that KFC is accepting bitcoin, remember there was a speculation that McDonalds will do the same, however we didn't see it happened so maybe KFC as a strategy, to beat its rival. As far as Goldman Sachs, glad to here that they see's bitcoin as future form of money because we are heading on that direction. Financial institutions are slowly accepting the fact the crypto is here to stay, CME and CBOE has started it and I'm sure that more will follow. Let's see how it goes, looks like the market is all green right now, and this news may somewhat influence today's movement. |

Exactly! We are stock on the same problem all over again, We have still current problems on transaction fees and confirmation time, but this news is a good indicator that developers should start giving out solution on how Bitcoin can cater this upcoming users, this should be served as a wake up call to all developers. This news is a free advertisement for Bitcoin to all KFC fans that are not into cryptocurrency. |

We are stock on the same problem all over again, We have still current problems on transaction fees and confirmation time, but this news is a good indicator that developers should start giving out solution on how Bitcoin can cater this upcoming users, this should be served as a wake up call to all developers. This news is a free advertisement for Bitcoin to all KFC fans that are not into cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is not yet usable for our day to day usage due to its high transaction fee and longer confirmation times.Bitcoin community need to take steps immediately to bring down the fee or else bitcoins users will lose their interest on bitcoin usage.No one wants to pay $30 fee for buying $20 chicken  Implementation of lightning network will give the permanent solution for the transaction time problem so I hope it will be implemented soon. |

Paying for coffee and fried chickens will only be viable when lightening network will be activated on bitcoin but right now nobody will be willing to pay more than coffee or chicken price in fee for faster confirmation.
People are already turning to altcoins for cheaper fee + faster confirmation so there is still lots of things to be done before bitcoin can fly like never before.

Seriously? You think fried chicken will be the start of a new all time high? Will it be enough that it will go up so much? Remember that current prices is at 13k - 15k USD that would mean that you need to increase the price by about $7,000 to get to a new all time high! Stop being delusional and forget your fried chicken bitcoin dream, it will not be the one that will pump the price to a new all time high. There would only be two things I can think of that would pump the price: 1. If the bitcoin protocol is upgraded to a scale-able solution 2. If the governments accept bitcoins and not be hostile to it. KFC will not be the key we are looking for. But at least I know I can go to Texas with my bitcoins and buy KFC. |

The most important of the news is not even about KFC because I know a lot of people cannot live with idea of buying one chicken at a premium by the time you add the fees at the present moment and later six months later realise that you have actually paid like *10 for that same item so personally I would use my fiat to buy my chicken and thanks to them for bringing more popularity to bitcoin. The one I am joyous about proposed law of the state of Arizona which if passed into law will direct a new course of discussion across board which will then gradually spread to other places. If I can pay tax with it, I can then pay school fees with bitcoin or even pay medical bills as well. In all, this is a good news. |

You mislead what op said, he said that bitcoin will get the new ath cause some fast food chains already accepts bitcoin as a payment , even in paying taxes bitcoin will be use, once its accepted by the government bitcoin price should spike. |

Definitely this... IF this ever happens then BTC will consolidate as money and a new economic era would be settled Well yeah, the second option will likely solidify/consolidate the stand of bitcoin into a currency of the world. But that is far from happening, I guess. But it if it does, maybe the price could just to at least $1 per satoshi since the demand would be like seven billion people wanting to get a hold of a bitcoin. Due to the sheer number of people wanting it by that time, I don't even know how congested the network will be. Probably, bitcoin unlimited would again be revived, who knows, we can't even get out of segwit2x. It will likely be a distant reality. |

Often time the hype of the news is the key not the news itself  . Having this news will definitely gives a positive (from negative view due to crash) view to bitcoin.
