Libertarian-leaning social-media feeds, as I recall. Unfortunately, it took me some months before I decided to pay Bitcoin much attention.

I'd possibly class that as underground news article, wouldn't you?

Nice, I'm glad you found it - A lot of people into crypto's are disillusioned with the current banking system and it's tyrannous techniques.

Hope you enjoy your stay Hope you've enjoyed your stay Smiley

EDIT: lol, just noticed your not new - ignore that bit, but the rest is valid, lol.

I was just walking home, thinking of nothing evil, when out of nowhere a man approached me and told me about Bitcoin.

It was really scary, but I immediately realized the scary man told the truth, never regretted coming here after that encounter.

You can watch what happened here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=sTPMwqtDHw0

All previous versions of currency will no longer be supported as of this update

I read about Bitcoins in Wired magazine, but it wasn't until the news about Crete's banks going bonkers and people starting to invest in Bitcoins, that I finally got involved.

Wasn't it Cyprus?

But I know what you mean, the banks will screw up again ( It's inevitable) and BTC will rise again.

There are trusted exchanges, why not try there?

I can link if need be.

Read about it in 2010 on Slashdot.  There was an article about someone who had the cops bust in on them thinking they had a pot-growing operation.  I was curious and explored further.
