Only if Ethereum will follow Bitcoin's pattern last year then it's easy for Ethereum to surpass Bitcoin's market capital this year maybe it will happen on 3rd quarter of the year.
Otherwise, maybe next year because we're just starting the momentum between Bitcoin and Ethereum this year and Ethereum shows off it's dominance as the leader of Altcoin group but I admit it has the potential to lead cryptocurrency market into wider adaption.

I would think ETH may jump with Caspar - plus there are a lot of projects/tokens on top of ETH  $132000 would be incredible - maybe a few more years (10?) for that once regulations are in place and the crazy world of cryptocurrency has settled somewhat.

I think It is look like possible. Eth is better than btc as technology that can use easily in market. I have supported ethereum and will support ıt. You should hold ethereum.

I think ETH is a great coin and a great project, and will very likely have a high price multiplier this year. But one thing to note is that we are now getting into serious money in terms of marketcap. Each increase is harder than the last. A x10 increase from current price would make Ethereum marketcap worth more than any company in the world... so x100 looks unlikely.

But then what do I know? Crypto is full of surprises

You're right, it may reach 10k this year, many people are switching to etherium because of lower fees. Like bitcoin, the price went up by almost 10x in less than a year. I also have some ETH and I'll hold it till it mooned.

You have all counted well. That's only the crypto currency market sets the rules for which your calculations may not be correct. Although I admit that by the end of 2018 the etherium can cost 10,000 dollars. I will say more: it seems to me that the etherium can cost $ 3000 in spring.

Crypto is full of surprises, imagine zclassic jump from $4/ZCL to over $200/ZCL within the last three weeks. So nothing is not possible in cryptocurrency. Take it or leave it

yes if everything goes like 2017 in this year too , then ether will definitely hit 8k$ by the end of this year .
but in this year cryptocurrencies will have to face many challenges .

Well as long as bitcoin is not doing well let’s not expect ethereum to do well unless as a community we all decide to back ethereum but as long as bitcoin is considered the prime crypto currencies this won’t happening any time soon this price will happen after the next five years
