Well, $10k is a prediction based on what happened in the past and if we all remember this time last year was below $36. So nothing is impossible. We may see it at $10 and will may not.

Time will tell all and I'm sure ETH still has a lot of potential to hit $ 10,000. I think we need the recovery of the whole market and certainly in the near future the price of ETH will enter a new phase, the stage of full development and we will see ETH rise very fast in the year 2018

I think that this thread was opened when a relatively optimistic environment prevailed with respect to market expectations. But with such an uncertain market today, and with investors so fearful of investing their money in cryptocurrencies after such spectacular losses recently seen, it does not seem so feasible that ethereum has any chance of reaching such a high price in 2019. In fact, not even I think it will reach the $10,000 mark ever.

If you follow the uptrend from Ethereum chart 📈 from January 2017 till now, you will see that ethereum as done nothing less than x110 of its current value as at 1st February 2017.

However, should ethereum repeat this feet in 2018 then it will be $132000/eth in twenty 2019.

Calculation:
1st February, 2017
Ethereum Price/$
1ETH = $11

10th January, 2018
Ethereum Price/$
1ETH = $1200

$1200/$11 = x109.091

If continue this uptrend in 2018 of which as started already and return another x109.091 by January, 2019. Price/ETH will be $132000/ETH.

I think if happened last year, it can happen this year, buy at least 1 ethereum and hold.

yes it is true but looking at the current price of ether now, it has gone beyond the current price which nobodis know the next step of ether dropped to minimal value compared to December last year.
although it is true to buy now and hold till it rise up again. looking at the plot of ether it really show that it will comes up after some months, this what also happen last year mid year.

I can't say it is not possible.Maybe someday it will happen but not this year. I'm sure that ETH is an excellent project, but such a strong growth as it was in 2017 will no longer be. Most likely the price can reach 3000 dollars.

Ethereum will never dip to $100 price range because Ethereum have strong demand support and the smart contract ERC2 token will also pump the price. However, the crypto market will recover next month but it might not be fully recover though.

Definitely, market recovery is imminent and that is why cryptocurrency is not ponzi as claimed by some of cryptocurrenc FUD preachers. However, the market recovery is going to be strong and the dumpers will cry sooner or later.

That is a gloom statement, no one can actually predict it. I believe seeing the current scenario and Bitcoin's dominance over market-cap i feel that 100$ is very much possible for ethereum.

Eth will reach the moon but not this year or nxt year. It will take i guess 2 more years to reach $10k.Eth is known for its potential  and strong demand support and with its full development this year, it is possible to dream for the $10k.

No doubt that ETH will rise! The use-cases, ERC20, smart contracts etc. all points towards a great future. Only a matter of time before people realizes this!
