Not sure if the Ether will take over whole market but it really looks like that its moving upwards smoothly. When ether started going up in the December month then it attracted many customers and investors and thus ultimately the market capitalism grew slowly. Then, it started the chain of investment and we are seeing the market cap that achieved today. Hope that this will continue ahead and we will see some toughened race. Thats important because when there is race there is competition of investment and it will rise the market hugely. :-) Perfect year for the ETH I believe too.

for me it may be yes that this may not totally that eth may overtake the position that bitcoin has so better to be more good on we all know how good bitcoin is and also the way also in eth that on how this also may able to have the great performance of so for me that we should watch for it.

Ethereum does have a few pumps on the price chart though Bitcoin is going much higher than Ethereum in price terms.
Bitcoin should still be the coin for 2018.

I also think eth will have the bigger 2018 than btc. Btc will still do great but not as good as 2017. I think eth will be worth $5k near the end of the year.

I want to remind everyone Price is not the only factor,
Most important is where how and how much coins are in use, Bitcoin is not only for 2017 Bitcoin is forever and don't expect ethrum to grow up and bitcoin not, if bitcoin fails than each and every coin will be impacted by that. We need volume, demands and uses price will automatically skyrocket. Bitcoin price is in thus level because of its Uses, Demand, limited supply and global acceptance. Same thing we expect with ETH and it will happen together with Bitcoin.

Analaysts says this year will be alts years,so expect BTC's sideways rather than bullish or bearish markets.Well 1year ago BTC was $1000 which makes ethereum has chance to do what BTC did last year.

I think this is possible, and I believe there are a lot of people betting that this will happen. I am even with high expectations for this, for me get some profit ( who knows, let's wait ). But I hope the problems with transactions do not occur.

Yeah no doubt that 2017 is the year of bitcoin from $1000 - almost $20000 and it is just happen on that year, because way back the bitcoin didnt pump huge like that. and now at this year im also hoping that bitcoin can pump hugely again for me to earn profits because i totally miss the ride lol. yes it is reasonable to say that this 1st quarter of 2018 is for ethereum like you can see in exchange ethereum has a biggest change from the last year and it cost $1400 lately and still counting on, although theres a little bit decrease happens, but it always increase than to decrease.

It's true but the more project uses its platform the more it getting mess and now ether delta is always congested and many transactions got compromised. Hope this upcoming hard fork will resolve some issues and in line of its constantly price increase. Nevertheless, I'm a believer of eth so I always wanted that its platform will always goes smoothly.

Yeah, it is a good opportunity to the ethereum that play a great role in the industry so that the price will coming up. But i doubt that the ethereum can surpass the bitcoin. Bitcoin now was still spreading the nlknowledge and everyday there's new user that got interested in the bitcoin and there's too many advertising. That's why i doubt that the ethereun can do it
