We can even see decline in BTC price but eth is simply going forward and breaking new ATH. Yes I do agree this is the year for Ethereum, many new ICOs will lunch this year which creates good buy wall, exchanges will and some offer already trading pairs with ETH because it's cheaper in terms of fees and fast transactions.  Vitalik is a really hard working dude who will do everything he can do make this a reality.  When you look at bitcoin on the other hand it is unstable,  to many forks and people being like children and fighting over BTC and BCH. Bitcoin is losing dominance lvl it is at around 30% and few months down the road it was at around 50% market cap dominance. This is the year of Ethereum in fact and other altcoins. Bitcoin will soon even trade for far less.

Yeah,I think so,the price of ethereum may hit upto $3000 in this year due to the availability of ethereum is high when compared to bitcoins but surely there will be a chance of getting surpass the market cap value of bitcoin.Already ethereum price is climbing up and it is a sign that this year will be ethereum's year.So it is wise to invest on ethereum as soon as possible.

These crypto-currencies are completely different, so it's hard to say that ETH is a BTC competitor. I think they will develop in parallel and, possibly, as a result, Ethereum will overtake bitcoin in terms of market capitalization.

Yes, Ethereum will definitely bubble in 2018 but we may not see a sudden unusual growth, instead there will be a steady growth in the entire 2018. In the end it will be around 4k or 5k.

The main increase in prices Ethereum was at the end of 2017. Therefore we can say that 2017 was a success for all cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin has lost its value because the speed of transaction confirmation and the price was great for small users. I think 2018 will be as successful to bitcoin. hmm no, it won't be. And why didn't you mention that ETH also did extremely well last year?
But it's funny how everytime BTC dips and ETH goes up, some people (mostly newbies and crypto newcomersrs) say the same thing. Although it's not the first time it happens, we had the same scenario last year were BTC and ETH had "almost" the same dominance in the market (37% btc, 30% eth), long story short: nothing happened and ETH remains #2.

ETH will have a great year, but rather than saying "2018 will be the year of X crypto", I prefer saying it will be the year of cryptocurrencies as a whole.

I am agree with that 2018 will be good for ethereum. It was also a good experience in the end of 2017 that ethereum was at its new heights. In 2018 it will going to break its records and that will be profitable for its investors. Lets see what will going to happen next.

I have been reading ethereum roadmap 2.0 and economic whitepaper of casper network that makes ethereum will become a coin with hybrid system. It will be reasonable at all if you are seeing the fact that ethereum adoption grow a lot. People are realizing how important the tech development for the future usage. 2018 will be the year of ethereum.

Yes this is possible, if we study performances of both cryptocurrencies there are chances. Bitcoin is around $13000 after crossing $19500 mark. Ethereum has reached $1300 mark. Bitcoin & ethereum works on same platforms. Coming years are difficult for bitcoin due to many reasons. Bitcoin currency has become too volatile as a result common investor prefers staying away from it. Bitcoin`s transaction charges and transaction has increased a lot. Many countries already banned bitcoin and many are planning to ban or regulate bitcoin for security reasons. As a result of all these reasons bitcoin investors are shifting their investments from bitcoin to much cheaper and stable currency Ethereum.
