How can I set the GWEI price in MEW higher than 99?

And then Ive got an other question: When I participate in a ICO where it starts for example at 12.00. It is very popular and I need to be fast with a high gas price. Is it possible to start the transaction before 12.00 - lets say at 11.55 and the ethers will arrive at 12.01. Will it be successfu or rejected?

I think there is no way to increase GWEI because its limits on the website are fixed. Too many people who accept GWEI to influence so many people who want to use low transaction fees will be delayed.

I heard that you can send ETH before the start (30-40 seconds before) with 30-40 gwei and be just in time so you will be among the first contributors

I guess there's no option to set the gwei to 99 in mew but why not set the gas limit to much higher like 80k-90k?

Why such in a hurry? AFAIK there's a timeframe for the first contributors in any ICO to get more bonus like first 1000 contributors or in the first week of the main sale.

I have a big guess that if the ICO starts at 12:00 and you send your deposit in 11:55. I bet your deposit will be successful but will be rejected by the project and you will not get any token from them since there's a contract that operates for the time which is the accepted deposits only are the transaction/s made from start time to end time of the ICO. But you should contact the team first before doing anything. Or someone correct me of I'm wrong here

What is the advantage of getting in first? As far as I know, most icos run for months. Even if they give early bird bonus, the bonus runs for a week, enough time to send your eth even with clogged system eth have now.

You even risk your eth getting rejected by the system when it gets in and the ico is still close.

I think your GWEI issue had been answered so let us talk about the ICO.
It is the time when they are open that you can buy it.  If you want it early then you will have to contact the owner or the developer or something like their marketing manager.
But mostly there are rules where you have to abide on it.
No worries because the percentage bonus will still be there. Mostly it takes a day before it expires.

You can't set gwei higher than 99 or you can only set max gwei allowed by mew UI/slider.
if you want to set custom gas/gwei use parity.

I'm not sure, but i think smart contract might reject your transaction if you send ETH before ICO starts. even if you send transaction early, you don't know it will confirm, before/after ICO start time!?
