Let us know if you are able to install Medic Coin wallet and it is working.  Thank you for your support.

Windows wallet installed and synced no problem, solo mining works nicely
Wallet could use some more info (how to cpu mine with it for example)

good info.  Thank you for your feedback

Please can somebody explain me how to mine this coin ?? i have SGminer but i don't have any .conf file, please let me know, i have 16x 1080Ti's

You go to your roaming directory and make sure you have MedicCoin.conf.  If you don't have MedicCoin.conf then create one with this in it

rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=dXPPhuXwSzFlFiiiiar
rpcport=2117
port=2118
#(0=off, 1=on) daemon - run in the background as a daemon and accept commands
daemon=0
#(0=off, 1=on) server - accept command line and JSON-RPC commands
server=1
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
testnet=0

and in your sgminer.conf you should have

{
"pools" : [
   {
      "url" : "http://127.0.0.1:2117",
      "user" : "user",
      "pass" : "dXPPhuXwSzFlFiiiiar"
   }
]
,
"intensity" : "13",
"vectors" : "1",
"worksize" : "256",
"kernel" : "ckolivas",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"thread-concurrency" : "8192",
"shaders" : "2048",
"gpu-engine" : "0-0",
"gpu-fan" : "0-0",

"gpu-powertune" : "0",
"gpu-vddc" : "0.000",
"temp-cutoff" : "95",
"temp-overheat" : "85",
"temp-target" : "75",
"api-port" : "4028",
"expiry" : "120",
"gpu-dyninterval" : "7",
"gpu-platform" : "1",
"gpu-threads" : "2",

"scan-time" : "60",
"scrypt" : true,

"kernel-path" : "/usr/local/bin"
}

Notice how the "user" : "user",

are the same in both MedicCoin.conf and sgminer.conf

Reserve

pro tip: Next time you want people to use GPU cycles for research work - maybe try not using an ASIC algo. for the POW phase...

Cuz all these ASICS sure as hell won't be running folding@home for you later!

Try something like Tribus algo - that'll prevent all the hit it and quit it with ASICS and NiceHash
and maybe get you some smaller miners that actually stick around.

The PoW block reward is 38.5, not 77. Did I miss something ?

PoW has 77 coins in one block.
POW reward 38.5 coins!!! Not 77

I was actually a little interested until I saw the team.

Looks like some random guys that has been taking photos of and posted.

The CEO "HANSON NGUYEN" is working on a Medical Clinic, but cant see any proff he has anything to do with this  Wink

No linked in's or anything. Nice.

Will not invest....

He is a doctor so he has the money to fund the MEDIC EMR and MEDIC Phone Telemedicine visit.  https://advancedmdclinic.com/

Yes this coin has PoS.  If you don't have a masternode (199,999 Medic coins) then the coins automatically turned into PoS

It is better to use one of the pools in this thread.  The difficulty is too high to solo.
