I think similar to what spaffin just posted. This year will be important to Bitcoin not really in price terms but in acceptance terms by different countries and for a multitude of purposes not just allowing exchanges. We can see in the US for instance that 2 states have already allowed payment of local taxes by crypto and the IRS has implemented taxes on trading profits. The more countries join in with acceptance the better overall for the status of Bitcoin and the other cryptocurrencies.

I don't think that 2018 is a crucial year for Bitcoin since we are talking here about Bitcoin, the most popular and first digital currency. With a lot of supporters and it's users I don't think we can say that this year is crucial for it. But I do think that these coming years will be the year when altcoins will be popular to people since the price pump of ETH this year.

And that is not because of the bitcoin itself the price falls because of us because we sell them we all know that the price are depending on what is the behavior of the people into bitcoins.

Those bad news really affecting bitcoin value, but we are still in the middle of this year and many things are still possible to happen with this investment,
better to make sure that you are well informed about the system before you do anything and before you place any investment, if you are believing that bitcoin will grow more then better to start investing, if not just stay away and forget about it.
