Well I do think that segWit addresses will prove to be really something that helps generate more crowd since, they are faster more efficient with less fee and the people who were complaining about the same would have to really sit back and think about it , since the issue is solved now bitcoins will have a better reputation and I do think that it is the reason that they will fluorish very well. Besides offcourse everything else that you mentioned.

There is a reason why many have said that 2018 will be one of the biggest years for btc. As you can see above there are many projects coming out this years that are so important and will basically solve the most important and last problems of btc.

We are almost 9 months into 2018 and none of your predictions, based on those technological advancements have come true. The Lightning Network and SegWit is growing slowly and people are still using the Legacy Bitcoin core without these innovations. It just shows you that predictions are seldom accurate, because Bitcoin's price is being manipulated and these people could care less about the technology and the innovation behind this experiment.

We will just have to see if the Q4 will live up to most of our expectations.

It has been proven last year that bitcoin has the capability to bubble in just a short time frame. So I believe it will beat its ATH value last year but probably it takes a little more time this time since its current value is way far behind from last December 2017.

If we are looking the pattern every years. The movement are similiar and same as a years before. But indeed bitcoin have many potential in the future

Indeed, the movement is the same, since there's always fluctuation and a sudden rise, but the difference this year is that the price is harder to predict than the past years. I agree that Bitcoin have many potential, because we will be using electronic money in the future, and Bitcoin is the very first one to appear, and also, I believe that the price in December 2017 is not the highest, I believe that Bitcoin is more than that.

This thread was started in beginning of this year and on that time it seemed like Bitcoin will go up and update ATH. But right now from the point of view of technical  analysis Bitcoin price is in downtrend and in the end of September and beginning of October it will break through the support at $5,8K and breaking the base of the triangle, formed on the weekly chart will begin to fall lower. IMHO Bitcoin price will fall to $ 4K by the end of this year and $ 2K by the middle of the next year.

That is a speculation or prediction in bitcoin technology ,that forsee a a big time high to that target time ,but it may also come true because bitcoin is still rising and also being popular in the cryptocurrency world.

I expect for this year, Rootstock (rsk), lightning, Schnorrr, Mast, Atomic swaps.


Schnorr is a softwork not a sidechain, and most important Rootstock is almost out and is in beta right now which is the last testing phase.
Rootstock has been in development for a very long time, and will bring Ethereum to the bitcoin. Which means Ethereum prices will drop
drastically.

More projects will come for 2018-2019+


You need Bitcoin for the use of blockchain, Bitcoin is the payment app. You can make alot of apps for the blockchain, you can also call these
apps sidechains, or 2th/third layer and drivechains. Bitcoin can only go mainstream with these sidechains forget blockchains.


Bitcoins potential is very huge and for sure can replace the monetery financial system. I don't know how much % but 1% penetration will make
btc 100k+ for a coin.

Bitcoin is good but you guys should stop saying that it will replace our current monetary system. This make me think most of you are kids  or maybe dummy bummy dummies. I admit that bitcoin is in low price but many opportunity comes, like ligalize in some other countries and some big companies are accepted as a cryptocurrency.
