I'm sometimes getting "windows has blocked hsrminer's access to graphics hardware"... Any idea what causes this? It's excluded from Windows Defender and everything...

I've got same message for ccminer klaust when I've tried to check if it works with solo-mining. I think it's how Microsoft tries to fight with hidden miners, but as it often happens - it fails and just blocks any miner, even if it was ran intentionally by user. After several attempts to solve this problem, I had to completly disable AV on my rigs.

I've had to do this also, its getting pretty bad on the av front im about to throw bitdefender out of the window as well, its decided bat files are viruses if they call minerd/cpuminer etc  Sad
...
...

Out of memory error means that you should increase windows pagefile (virtual memory). Pagefile should be = number of GPUs * 6300 mb, i.e. if you have 6 gpus in your rig, set your pagefile to 6*6300=37800 Megabytes.

ahh think I've only got it set to 24000'ish & 5 cards I'll give it a go.
Great answer and explanation it may solve other errors I've had thanks a lot

[edit]
worked like a charm, I need to get a bigger SSD  Sad slightly faster than ccminer klaust. cards around 60-65 degrees nice

Good. You can use hdd without any problems (if you don't mind slow windows loading, but you probably don't reboot rig often anyway).

Help Bro!
I'm running solo mining

Setting wallet: -server
rpcuser=RIG1
rpcpassword=123
rpcport=10210
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
port=10211
listen=1
daemon=1
server=1

Setting Bat file:
hsrminer_neoscrypt_fork_hp.exe -a neoscrypt -o 127.0.0.1:10210 -u RIG1 -p 123

Miner gives an error message:
JSON-RPC call failed: Method not found
get_work failed, retry after 10 seconds

 Cry Cry Cry

Help me...
What am I doing wrong?

Probably wallet of coin you are trying to mine doesn't support solo-mining. Try ccminer Klaust or ccminer tpruvot and see if it works.
Does not work...
Maybe the wallet itself does not support solo mining?
How to determine which coin can be obtained in solo, and which only in the pool?

I notice a little discussion with Nplus.

Just to explain on my side: I know my GTX 1050 ti work fine at standard intensity with your software HSRMiner_HP because I have two rigs using it with Gainward 1050ti with no problem at all
But I was trying to use Nplus in the smaller one  and sometimes its needed to have a light OC otherwise results with some of the other algos were crap.
As Nplus doesn't take care of that, I had to understand the intensity you suggest, see what was decided as intensity  in the Nplus by the guy that wrote it, and modify it trying to find a balance.

And this is what I did

Hey - thanks for putting this together. Trying to get it to work with my rigs and it seems to fail after using 4 or 5 cards.

One of my rigs is 7x ASUS Dual GTX 1070s
Other is 6x Gigabyte GTX 1070s

Both have only 4GB RAM... is this potentially an issue?

I regularly get out of memory issues. I have tried running two instances pointing at different devices. I have also used the -c 2 option on the high priority miner. I have also increased the pagefile size to 32000 - but not really getting much love here.

So, anyone with any advice or next steps I can take to test? Or is this an issue with the fact that I need more RAM on my machines to use this miner?

I have been using zergpool to mine VIVO and notice on my stats page that I have also been mining Sigil. Any reason for this?

Out of memory error means that you should increase windows pagefile (virtual memory), it has nothing to do with -c option. Pagefile should be = number of GPUs * 6300 mb, i.e. if you have 6 gpus in your rig, set your pagefile to 6*6300=37800 Megabytes.

4 Gb of physical ram is enough.

As for zergpool, I don't know man, but they've announced changes in server name format, now they want you to use ALGO.mine.zergpool.com:PORT, try to use "neoscrypt.mine.zergpool.com:4233".

Try to ask devs of the coin, nobody knows better than them.

Updated 1st msg of the topic, added "Troubleshooting" section with most common issues and how to deal with it.

Yes, I've read your post, thanks for the info man. Your best choice is not to tweak intensity in case of issues but to use normal process priority version of the miner. It's fastest and safest way. More details in the "Troubleshooting" section of the 1st msg of the topic.

Does not working win NHML 1.8.1.10. The miner is starting, but did not working, no shares etc. After some times it is restarting.

Screenshot please. Also pay attention to starting difficulty of nicehash server - for me it was 8192, with this kind of diff it's hard to find even 1 share for several minutes if you don't have powerful rigs with many GPUs.

As for restart - NHML kills and restart miner for some reason, may be because it hasn't been able to find 1 share within some time period.

I think it's the best NeoScrypt miner for nVidia GPU.
1070 can do about 1350 kh/s with +110/+400 PL 95%
Got about 4$ per 1070 at this coin

I'm using this with some 1030 cards and can pull 278 kh at about 32 watts. Excellent!

Anyone know what the standard gtx 1050 is pulling? (Non-ti)

Good hash/watt ratio  Cheesy Default intensity for 1030 is 15, you can try to tweak it with little steps like -i 15.1 to see if you can get 300 kh/s, may be little overclocking will help too. Would be nice to get 300 kh/s for 35 watts, 5 x 1030 would hash at 1500 kh/s, eating 175 watts  Smiley

As for 1050 hash rate, look here here, but I think results depend on the particular gpu and overclocking.

If I'm still experiencing stability issues, could it be my CPU?

I have 13 cards and plan to add more, up to 19. My virtual ram is like 4TB so that can't be the issue. But my CPU is a G4620 and ram is just 4GB. What do you think?

cpu shows 30%, ram shows 70%. It's only a problem because when the miner sort of just stalls, the autoit thing doesn't reset the miner, other errors are sorted fine.

just noticed i still had 100/400 overclocks on my 1080tis, perhaps taking those off will solve it

Autoit script just detects presence of "werfault.exe" process, and kills miner's process. If miner hangs without windows with error message, Autoit won't handle it.

I'm not sure your cpu and 4gb of ram can handle 19 gpus. But of course you should try it first before upgrading hardware. When exactly miner "stalls"? During launch before showing "GPU... flag ....." message or after that during work? You should also try normal priority version of the miner, if some of GPUs can't handle very high load.

Could it be your PSU? How close to the max power capacity are you running it?
