Governments of many countries are practically declaring war on cryptocurrencies. Why is that?
Maybe you do not know but crypto increasingly bad for life. Many have left their life projects and joined the crypto. Making capital for life projects can not be enough. And they could not get a tax because they did not know which investor was involved in Crypto.

Probably, the governments do not want to recognize digital currencies and wants to eliminate them, Because they cannot control them. Moreover, because of these currencies, there is a crisis if many banks and the high value of currencies adversely affect the economy of countries, especially with the rise of users cryptocurrencies.
In addition to that, I guess that in the future, the governments will recognize all cyrptocurrencies (particularly if it cannot eliminate them) to exploit financial profits but this may happen, but certainly on conditions.

Yeah.., it's all about control and taxes. government has trouble controlling cryptocurrency. however, I think this is an extreme parable. Because, not all governments / countries oppose and ban cryptocurrency. Although indeed, in fact, more are opposed to cryptocurrency.

Governments of many countries are practically declaring war on cryptocurrencies. Why is that?
Last year bitcoin's rise has made a huge impact on the cryptocurrency market, it became so popular and has caught the attention of a lot of investors and the fact that many people were able to make millions of dollars from this industry has put govermments in a bad situation because when they were just a mere currency used by a small percenteage of people has turned to a billion dollar industry, and because they have no control over it and are unable to track down transaction( who is it coming from and what purpouse the moeny is goping to be used for) they have started taking some serious action that are hitting the cryptocurrency community real hard.

Governments of many countries are practically declaring war on cryptocurrencies. Why is that?
Basically, they cannot control cryptos online, since intetnet is very hard to track and pbase it down, it will take time to investigate stuff, specific country is earning lots of money because of bitcoin. That's why they want to have control over it.

and how exactly do you think war on a code will take its course, like other wars on ideas or concepts? governments fighting it is the best evidence that justifies crypto's utility, exchanges just lure out people who are not yet in the rebellion and weigh down the share of crypto owners who are in it to use it for a function

That's the problem the government always wanted to have conditions where they will benefits instead of thinking of adopting this system to be more useful for their payment transactions, if only those who in power realized how crypto can help the financial society then it can be utilize for the benefits of both sides.

I would say this is exaggerated, no one didn't declare the war to cryptocurrency. It's kind of natural thing that governments and central banks want for cryptocurrencies to be regulated and by that I don't mean banned but regulated by law in positive sense. There are some governments, usualy in undeveloped countries with some drastic ideas of ban and similar but generaly speaking no one is making war with cryptocurrencies.

But I can get OP's concern in terms of cold-war or an undeclared financial war. Some governments like India are already started pushing hard hands toward bitcoin buyers like how they got big money by either money laundering or through black economy. This can be viewed as war against bitcoiners. Regulations in terms of impacting the usual activities of a crypto enthusiast may lead to undesired results for the growth of bitcoin and its price levels. I am also seeing these as war in some sense.

I like with symbolic word conflict, where this crypto face conflicting the central bank of every country, the consequences are banning trend starting everywhere. After bitcoin had a good time last year and became mainstream, there is hope it can be accepted by the widely, but it turned out to be the opposite. Right now we don't have many option else just to hodl, forget for a moment about the prices and market fluctuation, let's unite to make crypto better by spreading good news instead of fud.
