I would say banks have a huge hold on the country and would do their best to fend off the threat of a far advanced crypto currency. Also, different countries haven't seen a country be successful in crypto currency so they seal it off and wait. When they see that it is an advantage then they will open their doors and let crypto currency do it's magic.

The new thinking represented by Bitcoin does not really belong to the governance structure of the present society. This is not a contradiction between innovation and non-innovation, but it is also different from the traditional contradictions of the country, religion, and race. This is a kind of "new civilization" and The "old civilization" conflicts.

Maybe because the crypto currency is causing huge damage to the banking system? The authorities need not to fight with the crypto currency, but learns to work with it.

BTC is a decentralized cryptocurrency, the government can not control BTC, afraid that the cryptocurrency will affect the financial order!

The BTC and other crypto-currencies allow us to pursue cross-border, free, wealth transfer solutions. This will affect the country's economy!

There are so many cryptocurrency now available in the market that are now  competing each other to hold the highest position in the market.

Governments of many countries are practically declaring war on cryptocurrencies.
Why is that?

Of course the war with the crypto will continue the state because they think that crypto is only used for illegal transactions, and the government feels no benefit from taxes, but the country should imitate the Japanese who have applied the regulations and taxes on exchanges and transactions crypto.

The states do not love bitcoin because for them it is actually lost profit. If though any percent can be received for cashing in, then at the transfers made through cryptocurrency, money passes a tax.

Governments of many countries are practically declaring war on cryptocurrencies.
Why is that?

Governments don’t understand Bitcoin and want to control it. It is true that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will be disruptive to banking as we know it. This makes them want to hold Bitcoin back. Governments also want to make sure they get their taxes from us as well.

Absolutely true mate. Government will not banned or make bitcoin illegal as long as they can collect taxes from it. Mostly the reason behind the illegality of bitcoin declared by the government is because they are having a hard time to trace every bitcoin transactions and to how they can collect taxes from the holders not unless the holders itself converted their bitcoins into fiat. But as long as it remains cryptocurrency in the wallet it is decentralised and controlled by the owners itself only.

Why is that?
I think this is because the governments is afraid of new changes, and the fact that bitcoin will supersede the fiat currency.

They are most likely ignorant or does not know anything much about cryptocurrencies or they feel threatened of these cryptocurrencies and they can't do anything about it yet because it is not legalized nor regulated yet.

Surely a country that opposes the existence of bitcoin is worried if the majority of the population is more utilizing digital currency as a means of transaction so to anticipate the occurrence of such incidents the country as soon as possible want to destroy the world of cryptocurrency and not until experiencing developments in countries that deny its existence.

I don't see as war against bitcoin but an advert in favour of bitcoin and crypto currency at large and you can see in recent time that many of those countries in question are now trying to regulate crypto currency at a close look at the benefit inherent in crypto currency.

The Governments of certain countries are declaring war against crypto currencies as they do not have any authority over the bitcoin and block chain technology as the network is a decentralized network and they fear that due to high anonymity of the bitcoins users the Governments will not be able to earn from the bitcoin network as tax, secondly the Governments and the Central banking system see this bitcoins and other crypto currency as a disruptive technology which has brought a tremendous change in the outlook of the financial industry.

most of government are trying to understand how cryptocurrency work in the positive environment and collect taxes sooner or later they may regulate crypto currencies

I think it will not happen. They can only place taxes in the purpose of easier transactions.
I agree. The government wants to impose a tax on every transaction from crypto to fiat currency. Without taxes it is illegal for them.
As they begin to impose taxes, banks will surely fear that crypto will eventually replace fiat currencies.

Governments of many countries are practically declaring war on cryptocurrencies.
Why is that?
I think that the most important reason is that goverments can't "earn" anything by doing so and taking profit from it hasn't got any taxes in most of the countries so it will be easier to ban them than to change law for them.

They'd call ceasefire when they gain control of cryptos.
They'd shift grounds when you pay them taxes.
They'd give you room to play when you need licenses and permits from them to get involved in cryptos

Your government want your money.

I think most countries are neutral on the attitude of bitcoin, and the government is worried about bitcoin's destruction of the existing economic order, but it also knows the obvious benefits of encryption. Maybe let everyone accept bitcoin needs our community to continue to work hard.
