Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Governments of many countries are practically declaring war on cryptocurrencies.
Why is that?
What can we expect from the centralized government that doesn't want decentralized crypto? They are well aware of what crypto's can do to the economy and as early as it is now they are recognizing the power of what crypto's can do. They are trying their best to regulate or ban bitcoin/crypto to avoid future conflict when it comes to their interest even the convenience of the people investing there will be sacrificed. And there are few countries that even started their very own crypto but its a failure.

The entry of Crypto currency Digital Transaction CHANGED the out look of the trading market globally, with the growing acceptance of Bitcoin and other crypto currency by investors, it increase the Digital transaction on the market trading specially the on the Buying and Selling Market, this is not a welcoming factors to the Government Financial Institution who would want a Regulation on every transaction posted on the market. Until this issue is address?  you may say the WAR will continue.

Cryptocurrencies are always a hot topic to the government because it would affect the economy and their is is so much about it to make money. Money makes it attractive and as there are fortunate people around others followed thinking they might have great fortunes as well. So there are scams and all sorts of efforts to make one instantly rich.

Never heard of this war, but all i know is wealthy country or the which we called the first-world country is riding the waves of the popularity of cryptocurrencies. I think thereb are factors why they are doing this like, they want to have their own so that their people will use it and utilize it for someday it will be universally use in their country. Other thing is a merely healthy and friendly competition against the other countries which can be the next bitcoin. We cant aasume this probability but we just have watch out this war.

Governments of many countries are practically declaring war on cryptocurrencies.
Why is that?
Those governments that did not want to have a crypto currency in the territory of their state simply banned its circulation and use by citizens, establishing for various violations of this ban various sanctions, up to criminal liability. True, how effectively they can monitor the implementation of such a ban, this is another matter. Most of the states still take a crypto currency for circulation, differently while establishing its status and conditions for circulation. I think that in future the states will establish various additional restrictions on the circulation and use of the crypto currency. This will depend largely on how the crypto currency will behave in the future.

Based on what i read before It is Yes, Cryptocurrency may have cause war.Because we all known that cryptocurrency is have a digital money and some  people use this to pay the killers to kill someone. Which is bad and illegal to do. Because some people believes that it is the best transaction to pay the killers without evidence and this I think causes war.

Governments of many countries are practically declaring war on cryptocurrencies.
Why is that?

The war has been going on for a while. It was not clearly noticed before because the strength of cryptocurrency was still developing and therefore the antagonistic treatment of the governments was not that strong either. But ever since the cryptocurrencies have gained so much following from individuals and companies across the world, the governments are also stepping up their attacks and attempts to control.

Governments of many countries are practically declaring war on cryptocurrencies.
Why is that?

Who said that there is a war between cryptocurrencies and government? Eventually i never heard about it. Though there are government in some countries that disapproved the idea of cryptocurrencies just because it is decentralised currency and they cannot control and not taxable either. I guess that is the only issue and far too different from what said that there is a war with both parties.

Maybe the Western World isn't that advanced in the war against cryptocurrencies, but other countries definitely have taken measures. We have all seen the Chinese clampdown on cryptocurrency exchanges, which has forced trading to move off-shore. Bitcoin is also banned in many countries, including Bangladesh. If that isn't a war, what is?

Why is that?
Government declares war on cryptocurrencies cause they didnt know the real purpose of token or alt coins. The real problem here, right now. Cause I support cryptocurrency and it is a good idea, right to invest, and technology. I support cryptocurrency not capitalism cause here in our country

This is bound to happen because cryptocurrencies challenge the authority of the country and the right to issue currency. The war has only just begun and it will take many years before it will bear fruit.

The possibility of money laundering, in the UK you can only pay cash into a bank account belongs to you (no third party payments). I'm not sure how big a problem money laundering is here but they are taking action against it.

Governments of many countries are practically declaring war on cryptocurrencies.
Why is that?
Some people are saying that the reason why government is against Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is because it is affecting their economy negatively. Well, it might be true, but I don’t think that is the main reason for their actions. They are doing this because they are not getting any tax from it.

All these greedy politicians, they are always looking for ways to fill their pockets and not help the country. That’s why they should never be allowed to control cryptocurrencies, cause if they do, we are finished; they will be worst than hackers and scammers.

You can see those war in the form of regulation and ban on the crypto currencies because their intention is to take away the freedom of using money from the people. The are doing this because they are afraid that it will replace their national currency and also can kill the taxes and revenues from the banks. But still the adoption is in early stage so people need to utilize the decentralized technology as fast to have them or governments may supress them by continuous regulations and restrictions on them.

The Reason why the goverments declaring wars not on the physical war but on the online business like what we are doing in Cryptocurrencies, they wanted to have taxes from bitcoins, but cannot to happen because it is digitals currency online business, they wanted to earn from us. so they study and observe what is the best ways that they can do to get a tax from us. maybe in there standard they wanted to be part of us that is why they declare wars on cryptocurrency but cannot be happen. maybe they can join us as members of digital currency. in bitcoins but they cannot push us to give a tax in the goverment.

Elementary! The battle and confrontation of the government against a free currency that can enrich the people and overthrow the control over the cash flows of the arrogant oligarchs! I am against the state system that exists today in the world! It is time to change the well-being of all people for the better.  Cool

In the fiat money system we don't have the freedom of using our money because if we want to make international transaction we need to pay taxes and even we need someone's help to transact our money who called as banks. But the crypto cn give us that freedom only if we start using it as a currency as long as we are selling them for fiat we can't adopt to the new money system.

Governments of many countries are practically declaring war on cryptocurrencies.
Why is that?

I believe the reason the government of many countries are declaring war on bitcoin is because they are concerned with the amount of taxes they will lose. This is because bitcoin is a decentralized currency and such cannot be controlled by the government. There will be no taxes when people make transactions with bitcoin and there will also be no taxes when people exchange their bitcoins into fiat currencies.
