Update

currently testing the new ADT client Smiley

Any word on increasing the PoS mining %. I wish Jag was more vocal in this thread, he seems to be very absent during this critical time. What can you tell us about the new client. Communication with stakeholders is key, or else you can expect people to dump the coin.  Hopefully BTC38 is still able to add the coin if the new client is released and working in time!

I have talked to jag about the POS% and he is reluctant to change it

I suggested changing it to 0.05% and halving the POS time to 16 days

to make 0.1% a month or 1.2% / year

I will keep talking to jag and hopefully we can work something out Smiley nothing will be changed until me jag and the community on any changes Smiley

thanks

zack

You're waiting to dump. As I see. I don't see any progress in the ADT storyline.

Hey, smexy. Don't waste your time. Time's precious.

I have looked at github linux source code briefly there seems to be minor issues such as sharing network port with infinite coin v2. POW seems to be broken but fixable.

I compiled linux client from source its synching slowly. Overall if someone can fix stuff it may be something Smiley

What I am about to say may sound crazy but I assure you that its totally doable

I have been thinking a lot about this idea the last 2 days.

Ok we have got to the point where the code in ADT is letting us down far too often. I have an idea that would both permanently fix ADT as well as improve it.

This is just an idea and will not be implemented unless it has the ADT community's backing.

My plan is to get a new fully customised block chain that is cloned from a stable coin (the current blockchain is based on starcoin and it sucks)

It will have 66,800,000,000 coins in the 1st and only POW block. The POS will be 0.05% every 15 days (around 0.1% a month or 1.2% a year).

Average POS block time of 30 seconds.

I want to get a fully customised client made for

Windows
Linux
Mac OS

I also want to get an android wallet made.

I will be updating those details as needed.

Now for the important stuff:

How I would implement this

1. I would get the new client coded by a real coder like sunny king.

2. I would contact cryptsy and ask for the trading of ADT to be paused  for 48h.

3. I would provide cryptsy with the new client and the same amount of coins that are currently on the exchange.

4. I would post the new client on this thread.

This is the bit that's not fully worked out yet but it will be something like this:

5. I would swap coins on the old chain for coins on the new chain at a 1:1 ratio.
By my best guesses there will be approximately  1 bill coins remaining after all the coins are handed out, due to coins that were lost during older issues.
I would leave it up to the community what would happen with the remaining coins I would suggest a faucet or something similar

(This is just the concept post I will be making a more detailed post when I wake up later today ( I am posting this at 7am after being up all night )

oh wow, i have been here this whole time, reading this is getting out of hand,

anyway there is zacks idea and there is still mullick, who had no problem repairing the issue, but since the block was being locked from pow anyway the repair wouldnt have mattered anyway, so he has been contacted and might have to finish the repair, either way i strongly hope you guys dont vote for that whole new block thing, thats a final resort deal where we arent even done with the first resolve which mullick had no problems finishing...because once the block was locked and the checkpoint server was off everything ran well, so i am just waiting on mullick...... lol go eat come back and see all this new block etc wow....everything is cool guys.

100% block will be fixed.
block will be fixed ASAP.

another update coming or you can just come chat http://www.adt.altcointalk.co.uk/index.php i am always in that chat box pretty much,

just go in there if you want to hear me be vocal Smiley

Hey guys,

I encrypted my wallet now I get the message "Minting suspended due to locked wallet" how to unlock it?
Before you flame me to hell: I used the search but the similar error happens with PP coin and I really don't get it how to fix it.

When I try in the console it says my walletphrase is wrong but im 100% sure I use the right one.
Code used is: walletpassphrase <password> 18000 true

Please help Sad

Believe me or not but after 2 days trying it now started synchronizing  Undecided right after I post this message :/

It won't be in btc38 in the short run.  They said the author has gone.

Don't know. Yesterday BTC38 announced that from now on they will not be making anouncements for new coins to be added, because those anouncements are driving up the price.

why dont you hire another dedicated developer who is more reliable and can fix it 100%?
