My calculations say the same. SiaCoin has always just been a coin for dual miners who go after ethereum. This would be great if it works the way it’s supposed to.

After the D3 fiasco I will not purchase this miner. The network will not be able to handle the sudden increase and profits will drop to 10 bucks a day within a week.

If it's 2.30pm GMT +8, the it would be in 40 minutes. So I guess none is sold yet.
Propably those who get in the first batch see some nice returns, but if they produce more than one it'll be just another D3.
Is Siacoin only one which can be mined with this?

Nice you beat me to post this by a few minutes. Anyway this new ASIC looks legit, I received an email directly from bitmain. Will probably make Siacoin obselete for dual mining with Claymore. For those who are curious, here are its specs:

Not even 1 per person per day, you get 1 total. This is great for batch 1, this gives everyone a chance at the lotto. I did want to get an extra one for a friend who is just starting out on the mining road. This would have been a good first miner, but he will just have to wait for the next batch.

Sales are now live and currently available on bitmains site as we speak... Only bitcoincash accepted as a form of Payment and you only have one hour to pay from time of order. It's next to impossible for me to convert most of my coins to bch within an hour to purchase. But what I find really cool is these miners use the same chips as the D3 and the same amount, 180 chips. So these just may be clones of D3's with simply just a different algo. Which may prove to be very promising for future software releases for the D3

D3 was profitable for me. what went wrong with yours? When D3 was first announced we were looking at 400 + bucks per day... Where is it now... Barely 10 bucks per day... Barely profitable still unless you have cheap or free hydro |
