Can someone explain why the volume of FTC (on BTC-e) is always so high.

You don't hear much about FTC these days, so who is buying and selling all of this volume all the time?

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Because it's volatile, and there's money to be made.

The lack of decimals in Btc-e is also responsible.

FTC has its own forum and have enough time to gather  its own supporters. If someone has big stake on it, its there best interest to raise its value.

FTC is just a crap coin made by a guy who didn't even know how to create a new genesis block... Everything is copied from Litecoin client. Its value is high only because they are on Btc-e, that's all, it's the same thing with other crap coins like TRC and CNC...

Btc-e  is unfortunately the most popular exchange. People on this website manipulate prices as they like. I hope other exchanges and "fair" exchanges, no scams, no cheating, will become more popular than them in future.

If people have enough money, they can manipulate any coin regardless of the exchange.

How will a "fair" exchange prevent price manipulation?

With much more concurrence, manipulation will become harder. Monopolies are not good for free markets!

Are you joking?
Do you realize your coin is just a crap clone coin, and probably the worst?

Let's joke:

Litecoin:
Code:
const char* pszTimestamp = "NY Times 05/Oct/2011 Steve Jobs, Apple’s Visionary, Dies at 56";
block.nTime    = 1317972665;
uint256 hashGenesisBlock("0x12a765e31ffd4059bada1e25190f6e98c99d9714d334efa41a195a7e7e04bfe2");
hashMerkleRoot == uint256("0x97ddfbbae6be97fd6cdf3e7ca13232a3afff2353e29badfab7f73011edd4ced9")

Feathercoin:
Code:
const char* pszTimestamp = "NY Times 05/Oct/2011 Steve Jobs, Apple’s Visionary, Dies at 56";
block.nTime    = 1317972665;
uint256 hashGenesisBlock("0x12a765e31ffd4059bada1e25190f6e98c99d9714d334efa41a195a7e7e04bfe2");
hashMerkleRoot == uint256("0x97ddfbbae6be97fd6cdf3e7ca13232a3afff2353e29badfab7f73011edd4ced9")

Other crap coins here didn't even copy paste this thing...

I think you missed out on the fact that there are about 8 exchanges out right now.

But those websites fail to provide a real competition, they don't offer the same services (Sepa, Okpay, Perfect money, supported currencies USD EUR, RUR...).

Are you insane? It's just a copycat coin. There are many out there that are much much better than FTC.
