LOL.

"It's trading 17000 now, great time to buy"
"It's trading 16000 now, buy more"
"Wow, 15000 it will bounce soon, buy now"
"14000, very cheap to buy more"
etc etc etc

Now we're at $9846, soon at $7000. Don't believe? Just wait

Only people who are daytraders will care.

I don't care if this thing goes to $3000 - long term holding will see it all the way back up.

Adoption levels are so low that this thing is still in SLEEP MODE right now.

You people don't understand that, in the bigger picture, we are currently in the area in 2011-ish where Bitcoin prices fell from $10 to $2, etc. which no one today cares about.

A Bitcoin will be 50k in 2018, or 2019 - guaranteed minimum.

But why do you think it goes back up ? It clearly failed as payment system. Governments are banning it. LN is a joke. Why would it go up again, I don't see it

Because its purpose is not confined to a payment system, but rather it can also be a decentralized store of value (that increases vs. the dollar). What governments that are significant, other than China, have banned it?

The beauty of crypto is that no coin is truly dead.

Right now the "crash" we're seeing is NOTHING. It's a speck.

Imagine what the alt-traders were thinking in Summer 2017, or the Bitcoin traders in 2013?

And we're not even close to that yet.

LOL if that would be the only function then why BTC and not any other coin? The whole reason BTC was worth more than the others was that it was more accepted as payment system. Now that it turns out to fail there, the value is just gone.

We are all destined to go through the same motions - when Bitcoin drops significantly, we call it a crash, and people panic, and believe it will never recover.

I thought the same thing about my WAVES back in Summer 2017, for sure.

More wallets are being created every day, even as the "crash" commences - that's a fact.

wall street traders have incentive to pump the price as high as possible, and dump it all to get their shorts. Another fact.

I'm waiting and not caring too much, since I was never going to take profits until a few years at least.

Because people like THE Bitcoin.

We have seen this already - I was wondering why Bitcoin even got past $5000 in the first place. All during the Summer last year I was betting on ETH to be the big thing, but Bitcoin boomed instead.

It was because Bitcoin was and still is the face of crypto.

In marketing, the brands and the associations mean everything, not the utility use (which is also constantly evolving)

Less than 0.5% of the world population have bitcoins.

There's more space to go up, than to go down.

Severe crashes like those of yesterday were already expected and will be something common going forward. This having much speculation with the use of btc and bad news will cause much damage. I even believe a price tag along with btc would be something around 7k to 8k.

Why make posts like this?
Caps lock, using words to emphasize a lot...
It's not your money, if you invest a lot and if you are in fear, sell and get out

If BTC fall to 1.00, no problem

Sarcasm? It's easier to come up with an explanation that you can observe, than to deny market movement.

Anyways, I don't hold any Bitcoin but rather have all my money in some tiny alts down the bottom of the chart, but this is the Bitcoin forum.

Isn't BTC forming a bullish pattern on the chart though? Not sure if I'm right, just want to ask other opinions from traders here.
