ASIC's are still the bomb for BTC if you have enough- IMHO by far the safest/secure coin to
hold and if you mine in a good private pool it will pay out every day.
I managed to get only 2 of the butterfly labs USB 2.0 miners and the hash rate is insane.
What I wanna know though is- how can I program a ASIC/have it run a Linux script?
I was thinking shallot, getting really quick onion URLs. I think there's possibly more money to be made from that than mining itself.
Anyone tried this??

I've tried but it really depends on how efficiently you're able to move those "AltCoins" to the Coin or Fiat your interested in....

Check out  - http://www.coinchoose.com/index.php for a list of AltCoins and their relation to the Big Daddy (Bitcoin) and you should get a good idea of what is possible...

Also, https://www.multipool.us is a Great Pool to help mine the most profitable coin of the moment...

Let me know what you think.
