Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

No, Necoin will be ready very soon. Neocoiin is 100% finished now, we are just looking for the best way to distribute money fairly without concentration.

Still too new a coin to know for sure, depends on how active the developers will be.

The new client seems promising.  I think if it gains any traction its gimmick of a built in easy to use messaging system might get it a somewhat decent price.
