I am genuinely curious.

Do they not care about the plagiarised white paper and stuff?
Or do they just not know about it?

:/
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I've bought a little TRX before the Whitepaper news came out. I thought the idea of an Alibaba backed project could have great potential in the future. I do have to say that I'm a noob in the crypto game though. This also means that I'm not heavily invested in Tron, just bought 200 coins and see what it does, just for learning purposes. So when this isn't successful I'm not losing a great deal of money. I will invest with bigger numbers as soon as I fully understand the crypto market and various currencies that I'm interested in.
