I tried mining with my GT 630M graphics card, and i had a pretty similar hash rate (15 MH/s or so). Maybe this type of graphics card is totally not adapted to mining ? If you mine on a laptop, you should know that it will never be worth it, even on a decent computer you can't expect to make money... Mining is now reserved to those who can afford ASICminers. Even altcoins mining does not seem really profitable.
Hope I could help

I just discovered Bitcoin mining earlier today. I was wanting to dabble into it, nothing serious, as I only have a laptop.
I am using a GT730M graphics card in my laptop for my mining. But it is only giving me 20.5 Mhash/s. My friend has a 7850 graphics card and has a speed of 250 Mhash/s. I highly doubt that his card is over 12x faster than mine. Unless there is something I am not understanding?
If it matters, I am in Slush's Pool. Using GUIMiner. With 1 worker on the GPU.
Thank you! I hope I can learn some more.
So you both know:
First NVIDIA GPUs are extremely inefficient when it comes to mining. Also Laptop GPUs are of course more underpowered than desktop GPUs.
Basically the GPUs you have are not worth it to mine with. If you really want to mine the I would say spend .3 bitcoin to get a block erupter ASIC off of someone here on the forums.
But be warned: even with the seemingly low price of .3 bitcoin, with the Bitcoin difficulty going up and up and up, these are not likely to make any Return on Investment (ROI).
You should only get one if you just want to participate in mining, purely as a hobby.
Good luck to you both, and welcome!!
