naturally if i am at lose why i should have to continue?..there is always another day..if you are not lucky today then you have to stop betting...you may come back another day...whose knows, tomorrow is your lucky day.

Well each of us has different nature on how we react on a loss , mostly I believe become so emotional instead calm down cool to think like "it's just bad luck , I might get the lucky day another time so let's stop it" losing in gambling often makes people losing their mind , no wonder stories like what op tell above are a common thing happened. Actually, I don't consider OP as a gambling addict. There are times that shit really happens, and you can't tell when it will happen. But if it is happening everyday, that's the time that he needs to reassess himself and see if what is doing is good or bad for himself and for the people around him.

Sometimes we had to adjust even we are addicted but if the last money is for gas or transportation you should take note of that. It's hard to run out of gas if your in the middle of highway uncertain if there's a nearby gas station. (Oh, you gambled your money so there's no need for refueling.)

I think the point here is not whether the house is near or far.  It is about self control and once we lose our self control in gambling, addiction will definitely follow.  I do agree sheets happen sometimes but not controlling ourselves and let our pocket emptied in a  casino and not even a single cent left for our fare or car fuel, that is actually insane and not a good sign and definitely a possible gambling addiction is already taking place.

As far as i know most addicted gamblers done that but personally i would rather choose to stop playing and go home with the amount left on my pocket and to think that it was just enoungh for transportation. Why not continue even if you are left with only some small amount of money from your total bankroll and have lost let's say 95% of it ? Of course if this 5% is not some money for your family because if it can fill some needs of your family you should stop. In case it isn't continuing is a great thing to do because sometimes the last best can turn things upside down for you in a good sense, it can recover you initial bankroll and maybe win more after you do it.

Anyone that cannot even control themselves and end up using the little they have left to keep gambling is already an addict and I totally agree such a person needs help. Normally, if you do not have much to spare, you should not even be gambling, and one should only gamble with the little they can afford to lose, because the chances of losing them is high. So, for someone to have gambled everything to the point of being left with just money for fuel? That is way too much. Just simple. Once you have even reached your limit, it is always better to just stop. It is normal that if you start exceeding it, the chances of you continuing as you keep losing more will be there since you will keep losing bigger, but like you said, just accepting your fate for that day and putting a full stop to your gambling is the only thing that can make anyone to walk out of all those impulse and emotions before getting ruined.

The fact remain inside OP's question, it's a matter of decision and being responsible, though there's a lots of opinions and own assessment regarding to this but it is still remain that instead doing all in we should manage to control our emotions and thinks that  it's not the last day of our life that we can still have tomorrow to try again.

Responsible gambling is the key. I think that reminder is well written in a fine print disclaimer mostly if not all online gambling sites. Lol, this is the first time I read someone says that losing in gambling is a good result. Even though most gamblers lose while gambling, but I don't think they intend to do so. Most gamblers want to win in gambling!
