Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Not if it has a reputation keeper, email verification, and an area where sellers can load a personal profile and can link to transaction history.

I think it is a good idea.

If you could implement an escrow system with cheap fees (under 0.5%), that could be useful. A place only to insert ads won't add much to btctalk.

The Rock Trading Exchange forges its order books with bots, uses them to scam customers and is trying to appropriate 35000 euro from a forum member https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4975753.0

What is stopping the website owner from stealing the coin in escrow address?

The solution for buying and selling already exists. Either use the one of the big exchanges for large volume or use localbitcoin for small volume.

Of course, the new escrow system would have to have a feedback thread here and would have a hard desert to cross before acquiring reputation of trustworthy. Meanwhile, you could make a deposit with one of the trustworthy members of the forum in order to guaranty that your future escrow system is honest.
