I was wondering this problem. Do you think some ICO are hiring people to comment positively on their ICO post ?
Is it legal under the forum rules
Idk how legal it is but I'm pretty sure some ICOs are doing it. Also call me paranoid but there are some actual shills on here as well, who probably get paid under the radar. Well are you surprised? Even in the real world, half of the business is done under the table, in the form of a brown envelope.

Yeah unfortunately, I worked with them a couple of times but then I realize that it is against the rules of the forum so from now on I will ignore such projects. But I think mods has to lock threads like those or either participants has to report it to mod so that managers can be punished. Participants are forced to post due to the promised amount of money most especially if that participant really needs money for emergency purposes that is why they keep on posting on Ann threads just to be paid. I think ICO team want to gather some positive fake feedbacks from posters in a corrupt manner since they try to fool investors in those threads. They actually have choices where they can have their positive feedbacks such social medias.

You can also join signature campaign when your account is atleast a jr.member so you can earn tokens from these ICOs,its not illegal to promote ICOs here in bitcointalk its the way how these ICOs are being promoted, they are hiring high rank profiles to get their ICO's being noticed by the community for exchange to some tokens which if you asked me is a good deal to bounty hunters.

Sure. Whats wrong with that. Of course i will write nice things about DeepOnion...the most amazing coin in the world I want people to get on board. But this is much healthier kind of marketing. No mind games. And its a small scale right now. DeepOnion has 800 people in airdrop. They give away 10K to person in average every month. Its small club.

to my knowledge when following a signature in a project we have to obey the regulations made by a project so likely we'll have to do a post on this forum but should match the topic and constructive so that projects that we come into widespread, is a means of marketing the best and secure IE with a post on the forum bitcointalk so we finished working on it properly and time allowed, we will certainly get in return for all this.

It is indeed legal here, that is called bounty hunting if you have high rank profile here you will receive tokens from the ICOs,you will promote it here in bitcointalk or you can try the social media bounties which will only require you to share, like, retweet some posts using your social media accounts and im sure you are going to receive the tokens.

Of course it is legal, considering the fact that there is no rules or law pertaining that is illegal. ICOs hired people who will wear their signature or avatar and post a comment following the rules set by the campaign managers. It is called signature or bounty campaigns. Wearing their signatures and avatar is beneficial for the ICOs that is the reason they are hiring bitcoiners to wear it. Even some ICOs offer some bonus payment to those participants who post constructive on their ICOs, It does not necessary require to post positively on their ICOs or promote their project. Meaning, the accepted account user can post anywhere and expressed their ideas on a specific discussion or topics as long as they follow the rules and regulations specified by the campagin managers.

so far I have understood the concept of Signature Campaign. And I agree it is fine to promote a ICO you believe in, and if you are also getting paid for it. Its wonderful.
But ICOs paying people tokens for their post to come up on the first page ? is that legal ?
It just feels like Google SEO strategy

It is called the signature campaign. It's legal, there is no such law pertaining to that argument.

I am not so sure if it is legal but in my opinion, that is a bad strategy of attracting investors to invest on an ICO. Let the knowledge of unpaid people around decide and describe how this ICO is all about whether it is good or bad at all.

It will be hard to monitor even if it wasn't allowed so I don't see how its any different than bounties on here.

If you participate in a signature Campaign in an ico. It doesn't require you to comment on ico itself. But you can simply comment on the thread that the ico tells. For example, you are forbidden to comment on off topic or marketplace. If you keep doing that then it will not count them. But sometimes there are ico that treats where the signature bounty participants in his commentary should promote the ico but with another bonus.

if you are campaigning then it is good. you are paid for your service but I dont know, since when you actively post on an ANN they accuse you of ANN spamming.

Yes, it is legal, you can obtain certain altcoin remuneration by bounty threads, but you also need to pay some time to complete their task (for example, a week at least 15 high quality posts or responses), and they also can get more people to support, so the end of the ICO will be faster.

ico average does not require all its signature campaign participants to post about the advantages of the ico project, but try to post things that can build and can help each other for the members of the forum.

I think it's legal, because ico organizers have hired a bounty manager to promote their ico project, and all forms of regulation are up to the bounty manager, and if the bounty manager chooses his promotional path through signature campaign, social media, telegram etc. then that legal
