Would you let a random website on the internet create your private key for Bitcoin? No? Ah.

This only shows how little people are actually ready for cryptocurrencies. Still I have to admit that IOTA is part of the problem here. Some guidance when creating a private Seed in the wallet should have been given.

Everyone thinks the 60s was a movement where all the kids came out, but a lot of kids were on Farms, and didn't have TVs until the 70s.

And the Internet was for Nerds until like 15 years ago.
How is this related to anything? But thanks for you contribution Smiley

Again, as this is still ongoing

If your funds were stolen, please report the address it was sent to here:

https://forum.helloiota.com/9284/Call-to-action-lets-catch-the-thief

That is time critical to get these accounts blocked!

You may also want to read this:

http://iotafeed.com/index.php/2018/01/20/ralf-rottmann-in-the-medium-what-happened-last-night-on-iota/

Pretty lifted up from reality. His words: "all transfers that happened under this attack, are legitimate transactions."

Go figure yourself.

Other than that, complete ignorance, they do as if nothing has happened.

People were trying to say "Why not just use notepad" and blah blah blah. Good luck getting everyone to do that.

What is the exact issue here? How did the seeds got leaked?
Anyway thanks for this info. I had doubt about this project since I came to know about this but I've invested in this because of hype and it yielded me some very good profits.
Looks like keeping cripple coins like these are safe in the exchane itself instead of a dedicated wallet.

This is really big news for crypto, it is really shameful for IOTA because their security is so light. Many IOTA holders is crying right now because of their funds was stolen. This may be a Lesson for whole crypto to become more vigilant of our own belongings, and will serve others for upcoming project, wallet sites, and exchange sites to strengthen their security.

Mate, it is not about administering a thread, it is about information. If you want to spam useless subjects, go elsewhere. The topic is important, your shit to increase your postings is not.

I share IOTA with people, and have told people to use it. You need to stop being so sensitive. It's not like I'm coming from the outside.

And I am not the only one saying these things.

Go ahead and check back in your own thread. Other people agree, you just seem like you are scared that IOTA is going to go down in value if people read what I am saying.

This is a setup of the developers themselves, they can not guess what, that they can be broken? or it's done specifically to lower the rate, and the big whales have purchased, then they write that coins from purses really disappear, this makes the coin vulnerable to attacks by hackers, I followed the developments of the IOTA, but it did not suit me

I had this coin, but now I don't, not couse of it was stolen but couse of I sold it when the price raised to 2,5$ and bought Eterum. If it is really true what you are talking about I'm glad I sold it, I was regretting about my move, cause after I sold it the price moved more up to 5$.

Someone posted a number of 1.5 billion US$ stolen. That would top the Mt.Gox Heist which would be today about the same in value. Where does that number come from?

For several weeks I have prevented my friends about the major security flaws that have been detected in Iota, but apparently many think it is offensive to express this way of a project that many have considered "the future of the cryptos". I'm glad that I decided not to invest in this great scam.
