Continuously thought this was an incredible thought for a coin. Great to see the dev is as yet signing in as that is a decent method to do some due constancy. Fundamentally, we have to teach individuals on the most proficient method to profit by means of crypto, as having the capacity to give away a lot of coins to individuals who will set aside the opportunity to hear us out is an extraordinary motivating force. It's still simple to give away 10,000 NYCoins, however perhaps not all that simple in about a year Grin

Wow, this is the first time I have heard coin very interesting. Do I have a question why the development team has not released Whitepaper? They will be a bridge for us to invest more in this project. Does the coin use blockchain technology or any other technology that co-workers use, or do you put a new technology into them?

There has been no whitepaper released because this is not a new coin nor was there ever an ICO. You can view our roadmap here https://nycoin.community/roadmap.html to get an idea of where we are headed. Also keep in mind this coin was launched in 2014 by developers who abandoned the project only a few weeks after launch. The new dev team has only been active since January 2018 and we are working diligently to bring the codebase into a more modern, secure state.

One of the most important specs is missing, from the website History page, the website Specs page, the ANN, the Macy's Day parade ANN page, etc etc etc. Why is it hidden? What is the max supply, if there is one? (Edit: Just searched this thread with "max" and "supply" and *nothing* except my post. Why is this info deliberately left out EVERYWHERE.) (Edit #2: Good L*ord it's in a picture. For Pete's sake, put it in the right spot. On ANN page. On the website Specs page. On the website History page. Not on a picture... For anyone else looking, this picture says max supply of NYC is 100 Billion. https://newyorkcoin.net/img/100Billion.pngSpent all this time reading and searching. Was going to head over to Telegram to ask and then saw the picture. Don't penalize those who do actual research before asking questions-- put the info out there with all the other specs. It's not on CMC, but I realize that is out of your control. Your media pages ARE in your control: update them accordingly.)

I am glad to hear the fork is moving ahead as planned once the issues are cleared up! This will add needed security features to NYC and also reduce inflation with the planned block rewards reductions.

I am not finding any coin specs? why is this... ?
I mean max supply, and such would be good for people to know and would drop more users from asking about a whitepaper for the coin..
Great project looking forward to tracking it's progress..

UPDATE: The existing chain of NYC will be kept alive and healthy for an indefinite time after any upcoming hard-fork to update NYC code. Please make sure you save an updated copy of your wallet.dat file. This way your NYC is always safe.

Whitepapers are for coins that haven't been formally implemented or created. Bitcoin's whitepaper preceded Bitcoin's creation. Many ERC20 tokens without a working product use whitepapers to help people envision their token in the future. NewYorkCoin is already an existing coin with an existing 4 year old blockchain so there's no need for a whitepaper.
Well thanks for enlightening because i have know nothing about this newyork coin, aside from using the name of one great states in US nothing’s familiar for me So whats the other update now as you this thread runs for 8 months now. Oh great advice,i will check this thread so i might find good learning about the coin, since i am looking for new one to add in my folio,.thanks

For everyone using the 1.3 wallet, please download and install the mandatory update located here https://github.com/NewYorkCoin-NYC/nycoin/releases/We are still testing the block generation to be 100% sure that all issues are resolved before we sound the all clear for miners so if you are mining solo or have your own pool refrain from using 1.3 until we finish testing. Thanks, Slosh

Nyc coin has been added to a voting competition to get listed on Catex Exchange. Catex Exchange, www.catex.io, is hosting a voting competition for new coins to be added to our upcoming release of Doge market. Seven coins have been chosen to participate. The top two voted coins at the end of the 7 day period will be listed on Catex. Catex is a mining transaction exchange with 80% of its profits going to catt holders. Best of luck to all of the communities! You can vote at t.me/catex_group. See the pinned message. Competition will end on September 29th at 12:00 pm Central Time Zone.
