How much potential for Altcoins this year?

Many believe that ethereum will be the next bitcoin with regards to value appreciation and so far it is the second valuable cryptos. Of all alternative coins I think ethereum is really promising and a good coin to invest it has a good technology and faster block chain even if the value of all cryptos fall it is one of those coin who remain pumping and appreciated so I really think ethereum has a good future in the market

this year i have on mind and i also invested on some altcoins and i believe ill make around 10-20k in the end of the year. They are gonna rise for sure. Make your investments fast tho. You saw what happend with bitcoin and eth. Dont make delays.

As of the moment the market standing for almost of the crypts was downtrend. Market correction was now happening and my advise is to hold or be very cautious on future investment. Even on the downtrend you can still earn money but you have to be very good at your trading plan.

Potential has always been there, and as we've seen, a lot of them fulfilled some, exceeded others, while others still have yet to realise them. Remember that this is still a new market. Today's performance is not an indicator of tomorrow's performance. We need to let this market mature first before we can see any patterns and learn lessons. My feeling is that everything will still boom for another year, if not more. But once the dust settles, we're going to start seeing products fail, technology fail, projects fail. And I'm talking about the big ones. Success seems 100% for now, but give it time.

I am seeing a bright and future with most of the altcoins since bitcoins is now showing its own weakness, collects super high transaction fees and most of its users are experiencing slowliness on bitcoin transactions. Maybe because big time miners are expecting too much return on bitcoin. There also lots of forks happened on BTC last year. Most of the investors chose to start investing in altcoins and last year was a very intense year for altcoins. This year the the continuation of altcoins bull run.

I agree with you. And btc and Ethereum prices have been very high. For novices. Other coins may be the better choice. And the price before their outbreak is very suitable for large holdings.

New to the forums here but about a full month into the Cryptocurrency market, so definitely still green from both perspectives. I'm hoping I didn't miss the boat but I sincerely believe in the technology behind it.

I wanted to get your guys thoughts on the potential for altcoins this year. We've seen some take off anywhere from 20-40x in just a matter of a year. For those that have gotten to ride the wave in the past 1-2 years, do you see the same type of growth for the altcoins or are there diminishing returns now?

I believe that 2018 will be the greatest time for some altcoins. I suppose that EOS and NEO will gain really sufficiently. Ethereum will go in rising (probably it will increase up to 2 thousand). Hope that Cardano (ADA) and Qtum will prove that these are really cool cryptos.

altcoins on the market still have a great potential to rise and dominating the market in this year because rightnow there are more and more altcoins are born from iCOs and their applications in real life is getting more attentions from many investors around the world, moreover, the profit we have from investing in altcoins is getting higher every year, so in this year, altcoins will keep developing and rising.

i think growth across the whole crypto market will be diminishing, some alts will still perform as you described but not nearly as many. Investors will have to be more selective in their holdings to get the best returns

I think altcoin have great potential tongrow this year. There are projects that is minly supporting altcoins, with that it can oush further its growth. However altcoin's prices are dependent to bitcoin I think there is still  good chance fornit to continuously grow its market. Im eyeing eth and thinkingbto invest in it, im reading a lot of its good performance and quite impressed. Though, still have tonstudy and research more about it

Well I think this year is a good time for alt coins. More alt coins are developed now and theyre getting fast. You can expect at least maybe 6 months before an alt coin goes high in the market. But yes! Im maybe having too good to be true prediction but I really think that 2018 is good for all of the other crypto-currencies out there.

Altcoins is very good and has tremendous potential. but I do not think if they can beat bitcoin as a pioneer for the world of cryptocurrency. bitcoin still has a very good demand at any time and altcoins always follow the bitcoin (imo).
