If a lot of yachts will use a BoatPilot, then a lot of information will come in at the same time. Will BoatPilot deal with this influx of different information??

Hello and thanks for the questions!

Hi there! there's a minimum cap? If not realised.

The cut-off for BoatPilot TGE funding is $3 920 000. If this is not reached before Token Generation Event end date, all investments will be refunded to the participants.

What algorithm did you use to optimize your service for mobile devices, taking into account their limited productivity?

Most data suppliers (for example, OSM) are bloated and lack optimal storage structures. Our algorithm will find and eliminate such redundancy, which in turn will cut the size of the database to a fifth. A key feature of our algorithm is its parallelization. It allows you to use MapReduce algorithms on a computing cluster. The software algorithm is implemented via Python using ZeroMQ to distribute tasks throughout computing nodes. The common and open ESRI Shapefile is used as an output format, allowing the results to be used not only on mobile devices, but in the vast majority of GIS packages.

If a lot of yachts will use a BoatPilot, then a lot of information will come in at the same time. Will BoatPilot deal with this influx of different information??

Yes, many geographical objects have a set of user characteristics. Many users can add to or change these attributes, which leads us to the conflicts between editing and searching by an attribute value. Our platform will provide versioning and conflict resolution capabilities, using both a pessimistic strategy and manual data merging in the event of conflicting attribute changes. Additionally, our platform will automatically integrate incoming edits from trusted sources, provide an interface for manual analysis and comparison of edits, and determine the degree of trust based on the history of the source's edits and social  connections.

What happens if you collect more than the soft caps, but less than the hard cap? this seems to me the most likely outcome

Hi! Thanks for the questions!

If anyone can make adjustments into your maps…how can I trust such maps?

All data will be automatically saved and sent to the server via BoatGod. These data actualize the depth, in particular. They can not be faked and there is no sense in forging them. BoatGod module connects directly to the onboard system of any vessel, collects marine data, and transfers it via Wi-Fi. Our platform will automatically integrate incoming edits from trusted sources, provide an interface for manual analysis and comparison of edits, and determine the degree of trust based on the history of the source's edits and social connections.

What happens if you collect more than the soft caps, but less than the hard cap? this seems to me the most likely outcome

In this case our team will do everything possible to develop as many functionalities stated under the hard cap goal. We will issue a press release with a detailed action plan as soon as we have the final number on funds raised.

where is the BoatPilot development office? is it russian team?

The team is international. Part of the development is in Moscow, and the main office is in Cyprus.

How do you plan to make money with your free service?

We create a new advertising market and plan to generate revenue from it. That is, we get money at TGE and spend it for finalization our BoatPilot, BoatGod and Pocket Skipper. With them in the advertising market we will receive the income. When we reach the Hard Cap or the amount close to it, we cover more territories and get more income. This is the main idea for the growth of tokens.

Kind regards,
BoatPilot team

Hi, I'm a little confused. I want to understand everything before taking part in TGE. I'm afraid of being involved in scam. For example, I did not understand, what is the total supply of NAVI?

Hello! Thank you for asking!

Hi, I'm a little confused. I want to understand everything before taking part in TGE. I'm afraid of being involved in scam. For example, I did not understand, what is the total supply of NAVI?

Summary amount of NAVI available for sale: 280 857 144.
Maximum supply for every stage is shown is Token Policy https://www.boatpilot.io/docs/BoatPilot_Token_Policy_EN.pdf. However, the real amount of the sold tokens will be less and depends on ETH/USD ratio, on investments structure (see my example above), how much we will get on the Private Placement... Our smart contract immediately stops TGE is the Hard Cap is reached. And all unsold tokens will be burned right after it.

Why did you postpone the date of TGE? I was waiting for the open placement on January 26, 2018

There was an overload of the Ethereum network, and for a long time we could not write a smart contract. Therefore, there was a delay. We decided that the quality is better than the date.

will there be a KYC requirement for this project?

No, we do not plan to intoduce strong KYC requirement.

Kind regards,
BoatPilot team

As far as I know, you have already released a beta version BoatPilot. How popular is it? You know the number of yachtsmen that use your product?

Hello and thanks for the questions!

As far as I know, you have already released a beta version BoatPilot. How popular is it? You know the number of yachtsmen that use your product?

We have an active audience that uses our application. This is about 50 thousand people. In the season, 4,500 yachts use our application for navigation. We believe that this is not bad result for a new product. In addition, we covered only one region - the Mediterranean region. Thanks for the question! Stay with us. BoatPilot team.

do you cover only one region at the moment? are there any developments to cover and other declared regions - Asian, for example?

At the moment we covered only one region - the Mediterranean region.

What does your product differ from others with the same functions?

BoatPilot is based on unique software components such as very accurate maps with pleasant size, easily updated by the users, wireless hardware module BoatGod for iOS and Android platforms, Pocket Skipper service app perfectly designed for advertising needs, and is absolutely free for all users. For comparising information of the products, see https://www.boatpilot.io/docs/BoatPilot_White_Paper_EN.pdf
