The hardware side of the project is BoatGod. This module connects directly to the onboard system of any vessel, collects marine data, and transfers it via Wi-Fi. BoatGod will look like an USB drive flash. The idea is close to IoT, but we're not actually IoT. We're rather smart thing.

Why would you burn some of the tokens after using them?

By burning tokens we aim to stimulate NAVI value growth with a two-prong approach. First, every time tokens are used to rent or book a vessel, those tokens will be immediately burned and taken off the market. This model assumes a gradual decrease of available tokens, and an organic increase of demand and price. Second, at least 25% of all advertising profits will be used to buyout tokens available on cryptocurrency exchanges. We then will burn at least 50% of the tokens, removing them from the market, and further stimulating NAVI value growth.

One of the ways we choose to solve the size problem is by using variable resolutions depending on depth. For example, having 1-meter resolution for depths up to 5 meters, and raising the resolution as depth increases. This does not affect navigational capabilities, but significantly enhances performance and reduces the amount of data stored and processed.

How will BoatGod collect data from onboard systems? I'm not sure that my yacht is modern enough for such technologies.

This module connects directly to the onboard system of any vessel, collects marine data, and transfers it via Wi-Fi. BoatPilot looks like a small USB hard drive and you can connect it with your yacht using universal port NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183  - standard port for all chart plotters. Almost all yachts have this port.

No question is not stupid for us. We really appreciate your input. BoatPilot is not only a tool, it is a marketplace that provides businesses of any size – from large brands to small seaside restaurants – effective and convenient access to the international yachting market, which will reach $74.7 billion by 2022. The big part of benefit BoatPilot gets from its commercial advertising. As for NAVI usage, first of all, NAVI is going to become a very perspective and valuable cryptocurrency as we will use well thought-out and very effective token growth cost mechanism within the project for this aim. At second, BoatPilot will have a loyalty program that will be made available to users who maintain NAVI tokens in their e-wallets. Users will be rewarded with bonuses and gifts for retaining NAVI tokens in their wallets for a specified period of time. For example, a 25-50% discount to rent a yacht from our preferred vendors. It's quite a different and unique project, which could also be a selling point. How does this AR stuff come into play for your app/system? Like, what does it do or solve?

BoatPilot supports an augmented reality (AR) function, which allows the skipper to use AR glasses to see all necessary data incorporated into actual surroundings, and avoid distractions by the traditional dash. This feature is especially useful during poor visibility conditions, or at night.

That makes a lot of sense. And is that AR function or those glasses ready for use or do you still have to develop that stuff first?

Initially, the development of AR technology is very difficult and expensive prosess, that will be possible to realize in case the project reaches the Hard Cap. If so, the release of alpha-version of AR supported BoatPilot is planned on 4th quarter of 2019.
