The main purpose of investing is to expect something in return later on. People invested on ICO's because no doubt that it will really give an interesting return in the future. Any investments is risky that's why if you not understand how ICO projects goes well then better not to invest.

Will ICO's be here actively all the time ? Well as long as crypto world is showing good support from the community, there will be more ICO's around that will popped out every now and then.

Investing in ICOs is the most profitable in cryptocurrency. Because you can by more valuable tokens at lower price. After that token come to the exchange the value will be increased. You mentioned that investing in ICO is risky. Yes it is risky that is why you are getting so much profit because of investing on them. High risk means high profit. The reason why people invest in to ICOs because it has more profit than investing to the current tokens in the market, because being able to buy a token with less than a dollar at price then after ICO some of the token got pump and ended up to 3-5usd which is very profitable.    First of all ICO`s do not have a price until the end of the ICO. Price of
Bitcoin is going down, and many alt-coins are going down, but ICO`s are
coming out and they will have their own price.
   Fluctuations in this crypto-world are normal, all prices are going up and
down cause unstable market, people invest and cash out all the the time,
it is hard to calculate all that. You do not invest in ICO`s cause of that,
you invest in their idea, what they plan to achieve with their token. There

I think the reason is the belief that you can pick the good ICOs, many will never see a price as low as that of the ICO price and so people can make a really good return and then decide to either hold or move on to another coin.

People invest in an ICO because they believe they will get in on the ground floor and obtain the coins for a cheap price expecting a huge growth in the future. A lot of ICOs are actually raising money for different ideas, apps, etc that they plan on building with the funds raised, and therefore giving intrinsic value to the coins. However, there is a lot of risk and potential danger ranging from outright scams to companies that are not competent enough to pull off the development they claim will come and are likely to burn through the funds they raise and go to zero. To me personally, i think trading altcoins is riskier than investing in ICOs. Now the ICO has to be a genuine project/ICO with a concept that can solve human problems and also with a great team.
Be aware that taking the decision to invest in ICO means you believe in the project and the team behind it (that is if you take the time to do your research) and you are ready to see and help the project grow. ICO to me is simply an investment for future.

How you think that ICOs are not a risky option. I think you does not understand completely about the ICO projects and token sale. When there is any project implemented first here in the forum they create their announcement thread and make it familiar to all the people.
When they create their thread, it contains the white paper and website link in the same thread. That white paper will have complete details like what is the purpose of this project, how you can use it and development team and CEO information.
