I think ICO will survive for a long time, But for future, who platform when launching the ICO will more regulated, and have a good project.
I think ICO is good for crypto community, beside help company to raised the fund. this program  helps us, the small investor to join on those project as investment. Not a little ICO is given us real profit, x2-x5 profits or more maybe. I know that many scammed ICO is making scared some investors but from now ICO will be control by regulation. A new regulation is still in progress, we will see maybe in 2019 or the end of 2018.

Simple because some people want to get richer as quick as they want, thats why they will invest in ico, even though it is very risky to become a scam project, well that's the price they have to pay, high risk = high profit. And yeah i think ico will survive as long as there is legitimate company out there.
