It's common practice to let bidding continue until there are 5 minutes with no bids. Besides, August 24, 2013, 08:09:55 PM was the time I posted the auction.

It's only common practice if people put it in the rules in the first post.  Apparently you didn't put any rules so that you could do whatever the hell you wanted and screw me over.  Let me know if JWest fails to pay so maybe I can actually get something of value out of this shitshow.

THAT'S WHY YOU PUT RULES IN THE FIRST POST.  I don't know why anybody raised the bid by more than a satoshi, you didn't tell them they had to.

Because (i) they understand the fact that it would imply everybody has to stand in front of the thread and post messages after messages for ever, increasing by a satoshi each time, and (ii) they have the decence towards other bidders not to trigger such a stupid and time wasting situation.

You, on the other hand, you (i) failed, and (ii) you failed.

Even more: then you scream all around, and you waste the time of all the persons who answer you politely while you don't even deserve it.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

And you really believe that an url HIDDEN behind an ANIMATED IMAGE from ANOTHER WEBSITE is a rule, and a clearly typed message saying 'Auction ends in 24h.' isn't? Tongue

I will send coins immediately after I can escrow. It's not fair if Punin delays answering me then wants instant payment

He could have made the friggen clock the correct time!!!!  IT'S NOT THAT HARD you change two numbers!  And if everybody else was SMART they would have only raised a satoshi and we would all be walking out of here with 2 and change ASICMiner shares.

Doesn't surprise me.  Would he refuse JohnK too?  I think he just wants to pull it back because he realizes he left a shit ton of money on the table.

Gee why would I be bitter?  Because I won 20@2.41000001 = 48.2000002, could sell them right now on btct.co for 2.8 each which is 56.  Not like his incompetence cost me 7+ btc.

Against my better judgement about someone who refuses to accept escrow, I sent the payment for my one lousy share.  Put it on burnside's address to go to my btct.co account.
