I have a pi running on minepeon with cgminer. I have 2 d link hubs with 6 eruptors in each. The pi has a power supply as do both the hubs. I use the 7th port on one of the hubs to connect the 2. I also have a fan on as close as I can get. However I am getting around 30% errors. Has anyone had the same issue with this or any advice?

You connected a hub to a hub? I don't think that is a good idea. Could decrease data transfer and increase problems, but I could be wrong.

Please verify the power units that you are using with the HUB's. 6 USB Block erupters need a minimum of 6*510mA=3,06Amperes@5volts or ~15W. And the HUB needs also some current for it to work.

As I can see on D-Link DUB-H7 7 Ports HUB's specifications, "It is recommended that the combined power consumption on all ports should not exceed 2A or 10W.". Link to Amazon

The RPI needs more or less 1 ampere.

power supply to the hubs is 3A each and the pi has its own power supply

Try to use only 5 USB Block Erupters in each HUB to see if it is something about the current needed by them.

How are you counting errors? Don't compare an absolute value (HW) to a relative one (accepted)

I'm counting the errors by the proportion of accepts. I.e. for every 100 accepts I get something like 30 errors and in my pool it shows way under my Mhash/s

Daisy chaining hubs isn't an issue.

As others have said, you're probably going over on power.  I run those DLink hubs with 5x BE's in each, and a USB fan on one of the hubs to cool all of them...  My HWerror rate is under 1%.

I had stability issues running MinePeon, so I switched to PIckaxe... but I believe stability is much improved in MinePeon 0.2.3a or so.. ?

I put an 2 extra hubs in to take 2 eruptors and 1 to relay them to the pi. the errors have gone down to 20% now. Still not what I had hoped but better I suppose Sad
