2018 good year or bad year for Cryptocurrency ?

Very difficult to predict this unstable market, I say it will be good year for crypto in general and I say it will suck for bitcoin. Just my personal prediction.

Crypto is getting more and more popular. But when anything become popular or well/better known to general public, even more if money/profit is involved there are always governments and other institutions that would like to have piece of a pie. That's why i believe all this news about banning crypto, regulations etc.. causing fud among people and causing price drop. But at the end this will stop and settle and people will rush in and crypto will raise again probably to new ATH. I believe that this is the year that all this will happen.

Its too early call, we still have 11 months to go. But if we are going to based everything on its past history, bitcoin has a bright future. What we experienced is not new to the ecosystem. Actually last year we have seen bitcoin goes into a market correction more than 2x, and then end the year above the $10K range.

We are just at the beginning of 2018 so it is impossible to predict how the year will going to be for crypto currency.But the crypto market facing real bad situation until that so this year maybe a bad year for crypto currency.So we need to wait and see what is going to happen in the coming days.

The year started off bad with a crash. I think the chances are pretty good that after a few months of the price fluctuating, it will begin to increase and reach a new high. I’m basing this on the fact that Bitcoin is becoming more mainstream and there are new investors entering the cryptocurrency economy which should make a recovery relatively quick.

The thing is when there's a dip of bitcoin all seems to sad and feeling low because of what happened from the start of these year. I do predict that bitcoin will have a lows but then it will rise up higher than where it was last up high. But there are other cryptos that have a big effect than what was expected. My inner feeling says this will be a good year for bitcoin but to others are not.

I hope that 2018 will be a good year for the cypto-currency, because now we have a large number of institutional investors who have poured in money in to Bitcoin and various altcoins. The real impact from these investors will be visible from the second half of 2018 onward.

bitcoin is not bad this 2018, it is 2017 as one of the best for them, though 2018 seems to be not a good year for crypto this will not last long and will hit more that what 2017 did to us. all we need to do is not to panic but wait.

Asian countries have an important role in determining the price of bitcoin, so the issues that occur in Asia can affect the price of bitcoin. China and Korea both countries are becoming popular with several issues. I'm not sure this is the way they lower prices.

Guy, you need to understand something on this crypto sphere, if you have been in to crypto trading for some years, you should understand that the market are always red and in bearish mode in January...

It's not bad, if you look past years this 2018 should be as or better than 2017. start of 2018 doesn't show that but after time, more people will be in crypto world which mean more money. You just need to be patient.

I rather say that it's a challenging year so far to all cryptos out there, many people are getting involved now how bitcoin works and other currencies, government has been investigating how bitcoin really work as well, rest assure that it might high or low vakue at times, but for me it's not a bad year, or good year. It's the begging yet.

Why do newbie always get attacked by fear especially when the market is down or anything. Bitcoin will just go up and never stops. Don't just think for it to go down because of what's happening now. I heard news saying that bitcoin might go up in January 26, when the contract of something stops. I don't remember what contract was that.

I think im on the middle because I am a trully believer of bitcoin and i am hoping that mid of this year btc price will recover and start pumping. We all know that this year btc price is so dump and i can say that it is not a good year.
