I prefer ETH to spend, BTC to hold for long time. Because BTC is like a gold, ETH is like a money.

Both currencies are different than each other in terms of technicality as well as application, so we can't really compare them. But yes, bitcoin is still the number one currency as per the market cap and value but ETH is holding it's second position since the longest time. Ripple came up to the second position for few days but descended quickly. So instead of comparing both currencies, invest in both to get the maximum return possible. ETH is difinitely more superior that bitcoin in terms of network capability and smart contract feature, but both bitcoin and ETH are good choice for investment. Lets take it that way.

Bitcoin is the best choice for investments because as you can see in the market the price value gap of Bitcoin is much very far from any altcoins combined. You should also consider that no matter how many Ethereum you will keep including altcoins still in the end it will be traded to buy Bitcoin for Fiat, this is because most of local exchanges in the world are only accepting Bitcoin to be converted to fiat as by this process Bitcoin will continue to be stable and strong than Ethereum or any altcoins combined. |

Bitcoin is now in the lead in terms of popularity and funding in it. But the Ethereum also has good chances. It also becomes more popular and more expensive, though not so fast. I think these two cryptocurrencies will become more popular by the end of this year.

BTC is indeed as the upstairs as a kind of gold inside the digital currency of the same attributes, and ETH is more and more practical applications in the real world landing, such as for ICO, and then extended a lot of landing projects, If you have to compare, I think ETH has a higher value, but the actual use value is higher! BTC is just a belief in existence.

bitcoin is decentralized but ethereum is centralized and is pumped by the whales and mostly because of ICOs
bitcoin is a currency but eth is a token for the platform it has.
there is a limited number of bitcoin available and there is a cap.
but there is a huge number of eth available which also doesn't have a cap.
supply and demand rules here.
there were no premines for bitcoin but a large percentage of eth is premined.
i don't even know why you begin to compare these two!

We cannot compare these two because both of them have their own advantages and disadvantages. There are many ways on how we can gain Bitcoin and Ethereum which has become a basis of other cryptocurrency. Ethereum has their own wallet which is easy to use and it can be secured by many ways. Bitcoin also has their own wallet which is also easy to use and thru this wallets, you can convert it to cash.

in terms of p2p (peer to peer) ethereum transactions outperform bitcoin
due to cheaper transaction costs and faster confirmation times than bitcoin
so for me ethereum is better than bitcoin

Yes i agree with you. But if ibwill choose one, ill go with bitcoin. Even some use ethereum to buy bitcoin and bitcoin have a great gap among any oyher altcoins. But potential-wise ethereum can offer great opportunities in the future. One that is also worth investing to |

Bitcoin and ethereum have really been put into a pit by a lot of people who are interested to see which one is the better investment. Bitcoin has always provided more value and a lot of more users and its longevity have really contributed to its success. However ethereum is more of an outlier as it seeks to constantly be an innovation a step above the rest with its smart technology |

Yes, I agree with you. By the way, I think NEO is also the best coin. It can compare with ETH. How can you say NEO is the best coin when you are only comparing it to ETH? As far as I know. and being around the forum for sometime now, ETH have still lots to develop and need to improve in order to par with Bitcoin. Ethereum have way more than system flaws than Bitcoin and once the Segwit is fully implemented and all the add-on development is done, the smart contract that is the bread and butter of Ethereum will be attached to Bitcoin network which in return will nullify the ETH advantage against Bitcoin. Aside from that, the Lightning Network that will solve Bitcoin scalability will make ethereum bites dust. |

In terms of potential ethereum is better choice than bitcoin, in fact I think most coin have more potential then bitcoin. I see ethereum as more valuable than bitcoin now.

I prefer Ethereum now in terms of potential thing. But unfortunately, nowadays ETH network getting slow. A lot if ICO and Airdrop event was abandoned because of expensive gas price. I think Vitalik must solve this problems, otherwise, a lot of platform like NEO, STELLAR and CARDANO will be the leader of the next ICO platform. |
