I am a relative newbie but have remained pretty calm during the difficult last week or so. The markets are falling significantly again, is this still relatively normal and is the best advice just to HODL? Moving forward I think I will set stop losses on all holdings to protect my capital against falls like this.

Indeed, the best thing to do is to hold. We should not panic just because major cryptomarket is falling, that's just oart of every coins' market value volatility and nothing's new with this scenario. Like what usually happens with the declines, their market value will eventually increase and patience is a virtue. I do believe that selling won't be a good decision just because you are woried of the backdrops.

My tactics when market goes down is very simply then i personally more invest to pruchase good coins because on that time you can find good coins on very cheap price and when market will go high then you can book your profit.

its really better to HODL at this moment of time.
panic selling or selling at the tokens lowest value.
is not helping the market to recover but instead its affecting and making its value at its lowest.
its better to HODL and wait for the market to rise up.

If you are not trying to trade this market then holding makes sense as long as the coins you hold still have future value (speculative but based on your own research).
