Moving forward I think I will set stop losses on all holdings to protect my capital against falls like this.

I suggest not to think about HODL if you are in doubt, my advice is that as long as you get a good profit, then sell it, as you said the fall in value is very significant and there is no good growth or news in the future. I suggest to secure your funds first and wait for there to be a good signal for the end of this year.

Agreed that strategy always hold is great for newbies avoiding losses but it's a story in the past, the crypto market still maintains a strong growth, at the present time, it is really a risky decision when the market does not show signs of return, all the signs have a very bad result. Somebody is mining with the hope to make money another one is creating a token or blockchain platform and coin to make money and another one is buying to make money..
You think you are smart you can dump your $1 bought coin to somebody else when the price is $10 and the person who bought for $10 thinks he is smart he can make money when the price is $100 and somebody else who is buying for that price thinks he is smart he can make money if the price goes to $1000..

But the person who bought for $1000 thinks also he is smart he will make money if the coin price goes to $10000..

Its a ponzi scheme on the end of the road somebody need to lose money.. If nobody lose money nobody will make money..

Most holders lost there trust and waiting on the sideline to dump all there coins and get out of this crypto world.


Crypto was $800 billion dollar and now $200 billion..

That means 600.000 people made $1 million dollar each..

And the rest are locked with there money in unuseful coins and hoping that this guys will come back to buy coins with there in the real world useful dollars.

When the market falls you need to sell before everyone else if you dont do that you are locked with your money in that coin and will hope for another bullrun to get out.

I saw some guys who where talking in januari about holding now the same coins lost 95% of there values and now the same guys hoping for another bullrun to get out..

Sure the best strategy is hold but we need to have the right strategy to hold. We need to place an order against the risk that we buy a few dollars to make sure we do not lose too much. That's how Darvas taught me. It is very important in investing.

When market is falling, I sell my all altcoins and pass to bitcoin because altcoins are affecting much from bitcoin price fluctuations, bitcoin is stable from months and didnt drop under 6k dollar but altcoins are dropping everytime.
