I am pretty new. I bought in all my coins on January 9th and it is hard seeing all of my coins in red. Every one of them is still down 40%-60% and I am wondering if will ever recover? The problem is that I am not sure if the projects I invested in are simply under-performing or I just entered at a terrible time.  Cry

These are the coins I bought and hodling ($500 invested each into btc, eth, and ltc and $120 invested each into the other altcoins):

Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Icon, Neo, Dragonchain, Wabi, Enigma, ETHLend, bounty0x, Po.et, Substratum, Neblio, UTrust, Medibloc, Enjincoin

Realistically, when should I expect to recover? I am scared that I am going to be in this bloodbath for long time and make no profit. I want to make at least $1000 profit by June-July to visit my grandfather in Korea to buy plane ticket. Please help. It is very hard to be patient. When will I see some light  Huh

Well that is the problem for all the new traders who think that they could easily make some money in crypto or crypto could make them instant rich,
To be I think nobody could tell you what would happen next but for sure the only thing you could do is to wait for it to recover,
Or just cut loss and try to gain some profit from it but base on your post I think you really just have to wait since you don't have enough experience in the market.

Crypto trading is like a waiting game. It will test your patience to wait. Those who can't will lose. It is therefore advised not to put your funds to risk if you cannot aford to lose it.

these were good days.
now your 40%-60% s became 90%-95%

they were prettf excellent times for selling your altcoins. and it gets worser now. maybe most of altcoins will drop 0.

Personally bitcoin is risky investment means that the value is unpredictable especially for short term trading.

There is nothing to be depressed about this correction phase is the reason why the cryptocurrency market is still alive because it's a regulating mechanism sometimes it takes longer to recover the market always recovers from these correction phases

I think that most users of the crypto currency are in a very bad mood, because even if there are some positive indicators of the growth of coins in the price, it still does not suit the size of the price. There are such coins that have 50% growth to date, but this is still far from the company's ico price level.

Market is hard to guess. Since you created this topic, prices continue to go down. I hope you sold it. If you continue to hold, now you probably forget it and wait 1-2 years

I think now it is still not necessary to hurry with the purchase of the crypto currency, because the market has not recovered and the price may go down .

Worst case scenario you will never make any profit and your bags will slowly just bleed to $0. Though I think that will not happen, I think we will go down a bit more and then just stagnate for some time. Then the next hype wave starts and we once again have this November-January time where everything just x10 with a week.

There's this line where selling doesn't have a point anymore, losses are already too big and money to be received from selling is too little.

I had a similar experience last year, because during the great bullish season that took place in the middle of 2017 I got carried away by the enthusiasm and bought many altcoins that were already at a high price, with the hope that they would continue growing in an exponential mode. I had to show patience and support more than half a year and just in December I was able to close most of them with profit, so be patient and you will see that it is only a matter of time to recover your investment and collect good profits.

at this time, it has to show improvement again, but all the altcoins are starting to recover, I believe this is a good start for the development of altcoin prices, don't feel depressed, patience is the key to success.

Sad to hear that your deadline for visiting your grandfather is over and looking to the market prices of your portfolio seems like it goes dipper than what is the price last January..and by this i am sure you didn't get that $1000 profit before buying a ticket to go in korea..i wish I could help you but I can't since market is volatile and where in the midst of this scenario

it is strange that you posted this on january 2018. market was quite okey on january, it was better to just cash out this time. there is no answer of your questions now. it can go to worse or it can recove. it depends on that etf news.

It's interesting what you are feeling now? Maybe the author of this topic realized that he shouldn't despair, and he just need to wait. Or maybe he sold all his coins at the beginning of the year. In any case, here already a few dozen times have given good advice - don't panic when you come to crypto because the market here is very unstable and the best that you can do is - stock yourself with patience.

I am also very depressed, and every loss-making person has the same idea. But this trend may have to wait a long time, perhaps three years. Only in this way can you be happy again.

i think it will take many more months until crypto will recover. the courses of january 2018 will not be reached again in the next months. january 2018 was a big hype that is over now. and that is good. the market will slowly return to normal and will therefore rise only very slowly in the next months.

I have no idea and you should not... there is no quick profit in this market, if there is and then also high risk. You will either wait or take loss, both has risk as well  Smiley

keep going down? Now, most of the people are converting cryptocurrency into bitcoin, that’s why bitcoin stays at 6500-6700, but ETH and other altcoins keep going down and seems endless.
