Hello, can someone help me with the following:

1: Setting up a miner for nvidia 980 GTx Ti.(Just nvidia)
2: Registering with a new alt coin with good mining software..

I can't seem to be able to get these things to work. I tried all miners but there is still something im doing wrong. It won't mine at all.. Smiley Smiley

well you can mine most algos with ccminer try mining bitcore from a pool with this command
Code:
ccminer -a bitcore -o yourwalletaddress -u "pool address:pool port" -p x
pause

download the latest ccminer from their github release section.

A one gpu miner that can't get it to work?  What is the world coming to?  Do what he said and if it doesn't work, provide more details.  The only other option is killing yourself, but I wouldn't suggest that, if you value your life outside of mining.

Understand that some newbies are real totally new persons in this forum.

@OP
Since you're using a single GPU to "try" mining, I bet that the system you're using was Windows, right?
If that's the case, you can use the miners available here in the forum (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=647251.0 or https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=632724 or use search - "miner")
You only need to point them to the right pool that mines the coin you want to mine. like halker2010 said.

Except, his example was for Bitcoin, and i don't recommend mining Bitcoin with a single GTX980ti.
Choose an altcoin with a nice value and a low total hasrate, excluding cryptonote coins.

If you need more information, the best action is still using the "search"  function.

Being new to the forum doesn't prevent a newbie from knowing that details solve problems.  This is a proven certainty in many fields and aspects of life.
