Aurecoin Pty Ltd is a small and new startup in Sydney, Australia, developing a new concept of alt coin: a privately issued, gold-bearing physical currency. Our aim is to combine the advantages of private issue and limited supply seen in cryptocurrency with the advantages of physical gold.

We have opened a Google form (link below) for people who are interested in the currency to submit their contact details. By doing this, we will contact you once the currency is available for purchase. You will also help us to demonstrate that there is demand for this kind of currency.

There is more information about the currency in the Google form (before you enter your personal details), but in brief Aurecoins will carry gold and RFID/NFC chips within a polymer body, and be secured using security features in the polymer as well as an online register. Questions about Aurecoin are welcome in this thread or by personal message.

This does not sound good.  We want crypto that is trustless and decentralized.  Gold adds no value.
