For some reason that 360 second post-time really bugs me  Huh. Is there a rank that bypasses this?

Yes, that limit decreases the higher you rank up. It's just to prevent newbs spamming.

Is there any explanation of Activity vs Post number?

Web wallets get hacked all the time. Computer wallets get hacked all the time as well.
Solution? Hybrid P2SH wallets - safer than your online and offline wallets combined. Check it out, store and trade your Bitcoins with ease of mind!

Activity = post count with one exception - you will get maximally +14 activity in two week period for 15 or more posts

Again, false
You get +14 in activity if you posted ONCE in a two week period

Just confirming this is correct, only one post is needed to maintain activity.

I've adjusted the limits to make spamming more difficult.

Activity   Min. seconds between post actions   Max PM recipients   PMs per hour
036035
1674530
3060560
6030560
1001210120
2001015120
300820120

Here's the complete list if anyone's interested.

You have to wait 6 minutes after logging in before posting. Logging in counts as a 'post' apparently.

yes they should do a restriction on post but not pm's, 360 seconds after each post is a good to prevent newbies from spamming.

Why would you need to pm many people as a newbie?

I'm having trouble getting to 3 coins (to full member)

Is there a limit on the amount of activity you get per 2 week period?

Syscoin has the best of Bitcoin and Ethereum in one place, it's merge mined with Bitcoin so it is plugged into Bitcoin's ecosystem and takes full advantage of it's POW while rewarding Bitcoin miners with Syscoin

I believe it is to stop the bots from sending mass PMs with phishing/malware etc
