Yeah, it is extremely hard and become harder to earn merits when higher ranked users changed to become stricter to give their sMerits away.
However, it is possible task for constructive users in the forum.
There is no easy way to get merits
Never should be a cheater or changed to become a cheater in the forum. Additionally, merit abusements will lead your accounts to higher risks of banning, red tagging. Multiple accounts which related each other and build up a network to abuse merit system will be banned all (for the worst case of punishments). Stay away from serious abusements.
unless if you are a cheater like others doing. e.g swapping merits, have a high ranked friends or families that will like your post and give you merits or have a mulitple ranked account that were share the merits. Though you posted quality posts it is hard get even 10 merits as mostly are reserved their sMerit to their personally known member. Though merit system started, low quality posts are everywhere even spammers. I don't think it serves its purpose unless the one will give the merits is the moderators itself.
