Merits is needed so members in the forum can rank up according to the update on the forum recently

In addition to activity, everyone now has a merit score, and you need both a certain activity level and a certain merit score in order to reach higher member ranks. The required scores are:

RankRequired activityRequired merit

Jr Member300

LegendaryRandom in the range 775-10301000

Here's an infographic made by a fellow member in this forum named paxmao

To get merits here's a quick guide made by theyoungmilloinaire

Hope it helped you understanding the merit system.

sadmaster is an example of the worst of the spammers. A useless post, that takes up a few screens to display tired old information that we've seen many times before. I've put him on ignore, and I'd like to issue a plea to all the other juniors - please take this as an example of an annoying and redundant post, that will reduce the posters chance of receiving merits to avoid the rbnking block.

Your ignoring game is so strong boy!

But just wondering how would it help or effect the shitposters? They won't be reading these replies for sure and their profile won't tell them they are on ignore list. So I guess even putting them on ignore list is just a waste of one precious click.

Hear, hear.  What makes it particularly nauseating to me is that stupid infographic with the anime in it.  For some reason those characters are jarring to look at in the context of the merit system (and I can't stand anime anyway).

That bozo is going on my extensive ignore list.  At this point, that information is everywhere in Meta and doesn't need to be regurgitated in a not-so-thinly disguised attempt to earn merit.  Nor does this question of how to earn merit need to be asked anymore.  The main problem is simply that people don't read anything.  They'd rather just start a new thread asking how to get merit/trust and how to rank up, and they completely miss that the answers to those questions are right under their noses.

See brother, merits are given based on you real 'merits' on making post, so make best posts to have merits
