I think it depends on how much money I have and how much do I think that the project would be in the future, I am really careful in investing my money in some ICO's because some of the ICO's are just going to take your money and abandon their project after the ICO. So I am really careful on trusting my money in some project sometimes I would just wait for the token to be in the market before buying it .

In my journey with ICOs back in October, I am just a small-time investor. I even call myself as a "micro investor" where I can invest between $10 to $20 in average. It also depends how much is the minimum required investment for a specific ICO too.
If only I had huge funds to invest in ICO, I can invest between $100 to $300 per project. As of this time, I can't do much yet because I am still hanging on with a few freelance gigs plus long-term #HODLings of my altcoins.

I was a little shocked with the option for the vote. 10BTC... I mainly come from reddit and people there have less less holding than that. You guys have truly this much holdings ? Like you can freely throw even 1BTC in a ICO ?

I invest between 2-3 ETH, but I research a lot into the projects and take calculated gambles.

I usually invest around $5K max in ICO's but i invest more time too. Research, learning more, promoting, investing and finally trading if that happens too. It's all a chain reaction really because I want my investment to be successful and everything must be perfect before any commitment is made.

To participate in the ICO, I leave 10% of my investment portfolio. Participation in the ICO is a big risk, and 10% is the amount that I'm not afraid to lose. And after that I look at the projects. If there are several good ICOs at the moment, then I divide the sum between them. When I first started investing, I invested about 1 bitcoin in ICO (but then bitcoin cost much less). Now I invest not more than 1 ETH

Hey guys
Just wondering what others normally invest in each ICO they invest in and see what the rough average is
Thanks
Usually i don't put much money into ico because i don't join ico that often, the most i've ever put into an ico is about 2k usd or about 2 eth and the average is about 1 eth. I prefer to buy the coin once it got listed on exchange or i'll wait for the potential dump on exchange.

I do not invest much in ICO. At least the amount of investment in one project does not exceed the sum of 500-1000 dollars.

Under 1 BTC because i'm student and i don't have a huge amount of money to take a risk and do a risky investing. I already earn good money with my pocket money but i didn't invest huge amount for altcoins or ICO's.

I am not going to invest in any ICO anytime soon. It is because many ICOs are unfortunately a scam or projects which are very unlike to succeed. Also, it seems that due to growing cryptocurrencies popularity, it is a good idea to hold Bitcoin and Ethereum. It takes quite a long time before the coins you bought start to have some kind of value. Usually they are priced at $0.15 but after the ICO ends, nobody will buy them from you for that price.

I personally have never invested in ISO and I'm not going to. The first thing that holds me back is the lack of anonymity. The second is not the fact that the company will not steal your money, as it happened many times. It is better to buy interesting tokens immediately after entering the exchange.

I see that the majority voted for the first option. I also voted for it. ICO is a high-risk investment, so I can not risk very large sums. Even if I trust the project I will not put all the money into it.

Some used to say that it's better to invest as much as you won't regret if you loose it. But nowadays, almost all ICOs give profit so the risk to loose is rather low. And there's so much hype about ICOs now, that it's really a challenge to join any good project now. Some of them cancel there crowdsale, because they collect everything on a pre-sale or even private sale. So I'm even ready to invest all my money in a good ICO if I'm lucky enough to participate in it.

Honestly, I'm not feeling comfortable dealing with ICOs because I can't get rid of my mind that some of them may not become successful and shut down. So I only invest under one btc or even under the half of it when I see an ICO despite of being reliable. I'm just only playing safe, I only invest what I can afford to lose

I do not invest a lot of money. The biggest is 1.5 ETH . I think this is an optimal investment for a long time. It is necessary to invest money that will not be needed during the year

I did not tend to invest in ICO before. But now I'm happy to do it. I now see a lot of promising companies.

Normally I invest maximum 5% of my entire capital in 1 ICO. If the ICO looks good, has a promising product the maximum is 10%.

I think, that you can't have real statistic from this questionier, cause for majority of Bitcointalk users 1 btc it's large amount of money, so, they can't invest more then 1 BTC
